actually, yes, I think it is justified. and yes, he did all kinds of different experiments with those 300 people who he kept trapped, which would include things like dismembering and maiming them. repeatedly. it just wasn't shown, because it was all happening in their minds, not in the game.
also, Kirito never changed his status to that of an immortal object, and he changed the pain absorption from 8 to 0 for both of them. Sugou had just as much of a chance to win as Kirito did.
aside from that... just wait until next week.

No sugou didnt have single chance to win kirito sent his lvl down to 1 and then gave him a legendary item like it would even the playing field but he was nicer then i would have been i would have hung him up revived him everytime and kept it going then i would have left him there once he lost his will so he could never leave and since i would have the highest lvl of command and no one could over ride me he would never get out but thats just me i mean yeah i would eventually let him out cause lord knows asuna would make mebut he would suffer alot before then

Yeah dude, nevermind the fact that Sugou was going to rape the love of his life and had her holed up against her will, nevermind the fact that Sugou was torturing the minds of 300 people, fuck it man, I mean it's not like Sugou was going to kill Kirito. He totally didn't deserve to get fucked up by him.

Boy heated discussion about Kirito kun and that Suguo.
Well lets just say Suguo had his way with Asuna in front of Kirito and then he would make Kirito suffer by cutting him slowly while pinned on the ground as Asuna watch until his HP is gone. That would have been the scenario right/....... if Kabaya didnt show up in the picture and gave Kirito kun the overriding password to reset system admin number 1.
At least Kirito gave him the strongest weapon Excalibur to fight him.  but since he got no skills he is definitley outmatched by our hero and made him suffer instead, i know that was a bit cruel but I think Kirito kun was trying to prove a point

lol you guys getting worked up over fictional characters is hilarious... it's like watching nerds argue the whole Kirk vs Picard thing.
It's called revenge... would you let a guy off after he raped your girlfriend in front of you? I'm not asking if you could do anything about it, but would you just let him walk away like its nothing? If I was your girlfiend, I wouldn't be for much longer if you did. Of course there are extenuating circumstances so its not a black and white issue... just pointing out that he was well justified in what he did.
And that ends my contribution to this argument any attempts to draw me in further will be met with silence.

Sword Art seems like it's missing key parts or like they had something better and decided to not include it
I was expecting an epic sequence when Kirito and Yui finally found Asuna, like Kirito grabbing the cage and being shocked to hell but still goes at it and Asuna is crying. Instead Yui gets admin privileges and just wrecks shop

I just started reading the novels and.. holy crap! So much really important information was left out in the anime!
I don't know why I'm so surprised, western novels always far outstrip anything you'll ever see animated or acted, but this is my first foray into Japanese novels (excellently written too).
If anyone hasn't read the fan translations of the Light Novels. I highly recommend them.

Yes, its called vengeance. I guess your saying you'd just turn the other cheek or try to talk some sense into him. I am quite sure all 300 of those individuals would be wanting the same done to Sugou or worse. Ah, and the story isnt over yet.

Too often the lead is some over good never do any sort of wrong believe in others the world is made of rainbows person.
People aren't like that, Kirito is a good person, but he's flawed, that makes him easy to relate to.
It just wouldn't fit his character if he was like "lol its k I forgive bye"
