Can't see why people are saying the actions he took were bad. Sugou who just about raped the girl he loves in front of him has also trapped her and 300 people for 2 or 3 months after SAO ended. Pain threshold was set to 0 but at the end he can still log out and stop playing. Now I don't know what damage Sugou has atm but I find nothing wrong with Kirito's actions. This is only my opinion but I would have done worse.

As I said in page before this , this is how I see it. Kirito's action is part vengenace but it is also to prove a point.
An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth
Since he instilled pain to others thru his expeiments many times and to Kirito kun . He just letting him feel it too , well about 4 times , face,arm,body ,head , even though a broad sword in not designed to slash thru like a samurai sword does, Thats a different discussion..lol/

The episode was so lacklustre that I don't have the inspiration to even rant properly about it. So I'll just quote what a friend wrote about episode 24:

I don't feel anger towards SAO anymore. Being angry... how can you when it is just. So. Laughable. I was angry before. It was so self-serious and dramatic with all of its pretensions to good writing. But it's just crossed the line where it is more likely to make me die laughing than through my own hands out of frustration.
There are things I could have been angry about. Shitty attempts at sentimentality ("lol we family again now"). Using rape for cheap drama and to make the villain more evil. Deus ex Machinae out of the ass. But everything was just so unbelievably over-the-top.
THE VILLAIN LICKED UP ASUNA'S TEARS AS SHE WAS ABOUT TO BE RAPED. You just DON'T top that. You can't take anything in this show seriously anymore. But it wasn't just that. The SOUNDS he was making were simply ludicrous. It is amongst the hammiest voice acting I have EVER heard. And the dramatic music! Jesus CHRIST the dramatic music. It was hilarious. I was laughing so hard I nearly threw up, and that's no lie.
I don't think words describe just how thoroughly, hilarious atrocious I thought this episode was. It just... went there. I didn't even know there was still a 'there' to go to, but fuck me if Sword Art Online didn't find it.
Like, what's the point of even ranting? This is the most unintentionally hilarious thing I've ever seen. And I've watched Garzey's Wing. I've watched The Room for Christ's sake. This episode made THE FUCKING ROOM look competent.
Maybe I'll do a breakdown of everything wrong with this episode. I wonder if there'll be an end to that. Somehow, I doubt it.

@ JayVeeDeesUnfortunately those that deem themselves 'critics' can't allow their opinions to be broken or feel that its been diminished so sure this won't be the last time.

Hostile much? Just because I am a moderator, doesn't mean that I'm not part of the community just like you guys. The forum is for expressing your opinion, and that is what I'm doing. The fact that you think I'm trolling is incredibly rude and depressing. I actually write my posts coherently, and other users have been agreeing with them. I'm being called immature, yet I accept that others might have a different opinion than me.
If SAO was super bad, I would have dropped it long ago. But I didn't, because it had potential. Potential that I personally feel is being squandered, but I'm still somewhat curious as to how it will end. animeshadow007 wanted to hear what people thought about episode 24, I responded with what I personally thought. Just because someone isn't constantly praising an anime you like*, doesn't mean they are trolling.
So far I would rate SAO 7 out of 10. Because while I think it could be much better, it is still entertaining in its own manner.

I agree 100% hatters gonna hate but in the end you can just ban or mute them lol...I also agree SAO is good but it could've been way better even though kirito does go God mode and totally rape suguo even after giving him a legendary weapon....can anyone say FATALITY!!…and for those that are hating on the mods all I have to say is

My issue is that you try to present things that are 'opinion' as 'fact' and that can mislead others into not watching an anime. Its why I wish critics of manga/movies/anime/games/ and anything else would just shut up and go into their own little hole. Is this anime great for people like you? Maybe not but it is for others, however your 'opinion' can lead them away. I honestly could care less if you're a mod or not nor do I consider you a troll just a nitpicker that likes to use the mask of a 'critic'. I'd rather Aniplex had gone ahead and given the go ahead to have multiple seasons rather than rushing mid-way but I won't rant against the anime for it. Words have weight and you, and all other so callled 'critics', should learn to watch them better.
