I just finished SAO was anybody upset with the ending or is there supposed to be a second season? I thought it was a great anime and hope that it doesn't end there.

just fyi SAO is hated for how poorly it was executed but loved because it is SAO

if you want to get into SAO further it continues as novels

Its hated, imo, by people that either: a) thought it was going to be a different genre thus were butt-hurt when it differed, b) thought it was going to be perfection (an impossible standard) thus went to hatred and over-analyzing it to try and find any potential flaw they could, and/or c) follow the rule "its popular thus must be hated"

Its not known if there will be another season or not. The source material is there as well as the popularity so should happen, though in the meantime if want to see where it will go as said before by others can read the LN's.

if done right would of owned a lot of animes....

It was done well and I get so tired of people wanting to compare anime. I could care less if SAO is better than x-anime as long as I get a good story out of it, which I did.

Well then I go back to the above and state that it is the story that is important. I actually hadn't seen any 'haters' until after I was on episode 13 or 15 so I never had that influence. Unfortunately this doesn't apply to everyone.

I ran into a LOT of "because it's popular we hate it" people after I told people I was marathoning SAO. Then after confronting them I realized they never saw the series.. I had a serious facepalm moment.

Anyway I hear there are 3 more arcs so let's hope they make them

A lot of them throw up the 'I have a right to my opinion' line which most don't realize that others have the same right to correct their misunderstood assumptions/misinformation . Though the debates I've had over SAO mostly have been more based on the general idea of critiquing and nitpicking various mediums. I find it hilarious how many anime/manga have done some of the same things before but are never called on it, but SAO does it and all the critics have to pounce on it. Anyway I'm keeping my eye out for an announcement of new season but I don't expect one any time soon since the current one just ended a few weeks ago.
