it's possible, but there aren't a lot of light novels that get translated. it's mostly manga. only ones I've seen are Spice and Wolf, Boogiepop, and .hack//

well, at least can still read the fan translations online.

Just cause they are teenagers, doesn't mean they can't feel protective and/or like a parent figure to someone that is 7-10. Asuna and Kirito are not "children" in most senses of the word anymore at this point. Especially after all they had been going through the last 2-3 years. They've constantly been exposed to the risk of death alongside the trauma of being stuck in a game world with no way out. Kirito has killed at least one person, had to threaten several others with death. Has seen friends die around him. Asuna has seen her share of death and traumatic experiences as well. Since they got stuck in SAO, they have seen more than most people see in a lifetime.

This. So much.

I like to complete things but I just couldn't stomach watching the rest of the second arc. It's disappointing because, despite its flaws, I actually really liked the first arc.

Personally episode 15 traumatized me for three months. At least now you can marathon it.

I'm thinking of going back to but at the moment I just don't find the story, setting or characters very interesting. I doubt the anime will ever be as good as it once was because, to be honest, it probably should have ended at episode 14. It's just not the same anymore.

Just rewatched SAO again and man, I fucking love this anime. Though, I couldn't watch the second arc again, I had a strategy that was kind of similar to this:

maffayoo
after episode 14 it isnt as good but still worth watching first time round.. i tried rewatching i ended up doing 1-14 skipping 18-22 and watching the rest

I just skipped to parts that I liked during the second arc and then just went to the last episode. It's really a shame that second arc wasn't NEARLY as good as the first. I heard that they actually cut some parts with Asuna in the second arc. Showing that she wasn't just a damsel in distress. Why the hell would they leave that out!? Asuna is no damsel! Not even close!!!!!

But I really hope A-1 continue the series. Gun Gale, Mother's Rosario, and Underworld all sound amazing. Especially Mother's Rosario! I want to see Asuna in the spotlight!

I just couldn't imagine why they wouldn't want to continue it. The amount of money they would make.... It would be worth it. Either that or they're done with SAO for a while. But never say never because Eureka 7 got a sequel (even though I HATED IT), so I can't see why SAO wouldn't get one either.....

Unfortunately there was only one part of this show where I thought Kirito was cool. I could have thought he was completely boring otherwise. But that fight with Sugou (not the one inside ALO, the one after) was like wow, Kirito has balls, jesus christ. If only they depicted Kirito like that more often instead of like, I'm super awesome and know I am never going to lose. I like it when main characters genuinely struggle.
