You could just read the novels. The ones that are translated, anyway.

What would they do in the second season? This series had quite a bit of closure. Inaba and Taichi hooked up. Iori discovered how not to be a bitch. Karate chick got over her fear of guys and most likely will hook up with the other dude eventually.

You would wish more drama and trouble on these wonderful human beings!? Are you a sadist!?!?

But you never found out about Heartseed! It wasn't just a rom com!

The big bad guy was buried so far under the drama that I forgot about him. I just kind of thought of him like God from Bokurano, it doesn't matter who he is, just that the protagonists have some problem to deal with.

I remember there was some villain in some piece of media who actually said that to the main characters, something like, it doesn't matter who I am all that matters is that I am your enemy. Or something like that. Sort of like the author's way of saying, yeah don't worry about the details, just hate this guy.

They are tormented many more times as are the new kids that join the club. It is awesome. Seven more novels two more seasons worth. Too bad it will never be animated now ;_;

How come? Was it that whole scandal thing or whatever?

Also, I've seen the OVA.

Also, although I own a lot of manga (because I sell anime on Ebay and Amazon as a business), I hate reading manga/LNs because I feel like anime on tv portrays more feeling/emotions when you see it on tv. Oh and I don't like reading because I can't multi task while watching the anime or reading the LN/manga haha.

I don't believe the scandal hurt it much. Presales numbers were never that good. Few light novel adaptations ever get sequels anyways.

I agree having seiyuu and music makes a bigger emotional impact. And especially when rewatching I can multitask more. Books don't work for that. But when they don't finish the books you have to read to find out what happens!

I doubt we'll ever get a second season, but anything's possible, I guess. I just don't see that happening.

I'll get around to reading the rest of the novels eventually, because I really, really enjoyed the characters (for the most part) and how they interacted with one another. Probably some of the most realistic relationships I've seen in anime/manga/Japanese light novels.

But yeah, it's definitely my favorite anime from the last few years.

I thought the anime ended well enough (at least with the OVA) so there really was no need for a second season?

Also seem to remember it being a new cast later in the source material or something... never really looked into that though.

Point: I doubt there would be any more seasons, because it is the same thing happening just with different people?

No, it's still them for a little while after that. And even if it wasn't, it'd be neat to see a new cast in an anime, too. Not to mention possibly finding out more about why this stuff is happening to them down the road.

Though, like someone else said earlier, I don't think that part matters that much. I think Heartseed is mostly just a catalyst that exists purely to create turmoil and emotional growth among the protagonists and not as some grander conspiracy. I can't say for sure though, as I've not finished the books.

Had a question about this for anyone in the know.

Anyone have any idea if someone ever translated the PSP visual novel?

Yep. Definitely. If anything I think the romance in this show was on par or very close with Toradora. I really liked the chemistry between the MC and the girl he ends up going out with. If anything this is one of the few series that I feel REALLY sad for because it doesn't get a second season. It just feels soooooooooooo unfinished.

I decided to try and watch Toradora again and so far it's going great. I hate that feeling you get when you finish a good anime series. I FELT THE SAME WAY ABOUT THE ENDING TO CODE GEASS R2! I agree I do want a little more but I guess I'll have to deal with it.

Definitely my number one favourite anime. I love damn-near everything about it. It sucks that there's practically no chance of a season 2, but considering how it ended with the OVAs I am more than satisfied with it.

First, you can buy them from Sentai. Both the first 13 and separately the OVAs are available from them. Check amazon, et al.

I bought the Japanese import Blurays completely sight unseen! Though I had the books so I knew it would be awesome, not exactly a risky buy after buying the first 13 episodes LOL

Oh and the author of Kokoro Connect has a new series now! It's called "Aoi--), Haruno #Subete." 'Waruki high school student shows the symptoms of "syndrome".' Same illustrator, it's good!
