Do you know how many episodes this anime is gonna have?
ANN doesn't seem to have this info and MAL won't let me access their site.

ANN seems to imply that there are 12, or at least that they only know of 12. MAL doesn't list a length.

Also, Wikipedia indicates there are 8 novels. If the first novel wraps up after episode 5, then I really hope the show is longer than a single season of 12 episodes.

The official site lists 7 BD/DVD releases, with two episodes each, at least that is how many are on Disk 1. That would mean 14 episodes. Perhaps one of them is an OVA and the series is 13... Don't know for sure.

The official site lists 8 books, and it appears that 6 are novels and two are short stories. While it is listed as ongoing on Wiki and other places, the description for novel 6 really sounds like it is the end of the story. This would suggest, at the pace they are going, that they would need 2 or possibly 3 seasons to cover the whole story. I expect they will do a short story between novel arcs, then finish the first season with the 2nd novel. The other option is to do up to the third novel in the first season, with the other novels taking fewer episodes and still tossing in a short story here and there, perhaps between each novel, since the short story books seem to have two stories each. Then it would make a nice 2 season show if it is successful enough. Of course, my machine translation of the pages could be misleading me to think that novel 6 is the end. Here is the line in question:

"そんな時、「――これで最後です」と〈ふうせんかずら〉が現象の終わりと始まりを告げる。"

translation:

"At such time, - <heart pea> tells the beginning and end of the phenomenon as "this is the last.""

Sounds final to me...

Countdown and FansubDB both list 13 episodes.

FansubDB actually lists "13+4", and the "+" usually means additional disc-only episodes.

Oh thanks! ♥
So it's probably gonna be 13 episodes long. I hope they wrap this up nicely.
I'm not here for a cliffhanger ending, unless they're doing a second season.

Wow, just wow. This is definitely one of my favorite dramas of all time.

I mean besides the whole body swapping thing, I feel like the conversations that this cast have with each other can really be related to on some level. Granted the whole phobias thing probably cant be related too much but its still good.

I could never have the balls that Taichi has. I mean seriously, this guy is literally the weakest looking awesome character I have seen. You wouldnt even see some manly dudes in anime admit to such things.

But I do want Aoki to get his shine on. I dont want this to become a harem or something.

Kinda wish there was another male cast

Episode 5

Confessions going up in the air!

Anyways, another great and more emotional episode this week with focus on one of the members of the Cultural Research Club, Iori. She goes through a lot and tries to cope.

Of course, there's emotions later on in this episode..but also some comedy as in the end, Inaba finds out about the

Nice episode! The fears I had before about this turning harem were effectively done away with this episode. It's safe to say it's on my watchlist for good.

I like the level of open communication. The characters don't beat around the bush when interacting with one another, nor do they mince words. It makes the show a lot less frustrating to watch, than say one where the leads are all blushing and stammering around each other.
