pfft, when growns up put something like this into action, "no holding hands"

next thing you know, they devised a plan just to get back at the grown up and decided that "if We can't hold hands, we will hold legs" or butt cheeks. That's how teenagers will think.

On other note, I am 100% sure that the majority of the Overprotective Fathers in the world would FAVOR this law until his daughter reached 18 years of age.

This bill is mostly supported by 7/8 year old boys who believe the cootie virus is still wrecking havoc on the playgrounds.

My school had a policy against holding hands, which I always thought was fairly stupid. Having a law prohibiting "gateway sex acts" is just ridiculous. Please use common sense, politician people. If kids want to have sex, they're going to find a way, regardless of whether or not it's "allowed." It's far more responsible to continue to teach them safe sex and abstinence, than to simply pass a "no sex for you!" law. This isn't going to work.

Forgive me but this isn't the "right wing". It is a bunch of people who SAY they're all for small government but they lie like a rug. They like all the power - when it's their guy in office. That's the EUROPEAN left and right wings. As a real conservative (as opposed to these fakes), I'm for the government getting the F*** out of my life and that of everybody else. This is a big, fat "Screw you" going out to the morons who made this up. I get that teachers shouldn't be showing the kids HOW to use a vibrator but is THIS really how you fix that?

This brings me right back to my favorite demotivator:

Did anyone hear about the "no public cursing" law?

Yes, I believe that was enacted in New Jersey or some other New England state. And the courts let it slide. For now.

Tennessee had a similar uproar a while back, maybe two years, when some schools started banning physical contact (hugs and the like). Nothing new; schools have been doing this for a while now. My bro's middle school had a similar statute until the parents shot it dead. Really, where are these schools getting this ridiculousness from?

I graduated HS in 2008 and the only thing people cared about then was if we skipped class or had sex on school grounds. If it didn't have anything to do with school, they didn't care.

Now it seems there getting involved with everything.

What happened to the law that would fine parents if their kid(s) skipped school?

I couldn't agree more. The right-wing is WAY different than it was say, 30 years ago. Most of them are corporate buy-outs that want to restrict the rights of those, in name of "individual freedom" and uses fear-mongering tactics to convince the public. In political terms, I'm incredibly mixed. I believe in the government being a tool to better lives, not restrict the individual's of their rights given by the constitution. My views are sort of "to each their own" style, yet I'm still pro-unions and pro-public schools/transportation/mail service/right-to-choose and all that good jazz.

Example: If a couple of twelve year olds want to hold hands, let them hold hands. They're not gonna get pregnant.
