yes but you saying no does not make it true...! As I have pointed out about 30 times.. Animeeshun the Japanese word for animation is made up with mostly cartoons for kids 12 years old or younger. An so to say anime is childish is not really wrong. To the most part it is true, And yes I have been a J-anime fan for 25 years.

So here is something you can add:
Most anime is made for a male audience,
Big chested girls, breast fondling, "pantie shots", nipples showing, with this the anime is aiming more towards males then to "kids", but is made towards kids with "toilet humor", punches that trow people high into the sky and appearing unharmed the next time they appear, ect.

I do agree that a lot of anime are indeed childish, and amongst my favorites are both childish and not (so) childish anime
But as anime is plural in the question/statement, the question can not be answered ergo the statement is incorrect
There is nothing that concludes that A: All anime is childish therefor anime is childish. or B: No anime is childish therefor anime is not childish.

If the question however was Q: Is this anime childish?
Then you have can answer either A: That anime is childish. or B: That anime is not childish.

Even with 90% of anime targeting kids 12-, it can seem childish on the exterior but going into the anime it is about teaching kids, in short, life

Shounen stands for young males or closer translation would be boys. Yes that type of anime is what most people Outside of Japan would know about. But than their is much more anime, targeting young girls, and even kids under 6. Their just not as popular or as well known out side of Japan.

on another note for those that claim anime is not a cartoon.. their different, I have two words for you. " BULL SHIT!!! " Their is nothing different separating Japanese cartoons from American, French, or even German cartoons.

I protest! I dun think that anime is childish. It really does have a lot of stuff to do dealing with real life situations and how can anime be childish when there are animes that have hentai and gore and all those blood killing inside them

you can do anything with anime and the perfect example that some anime have demons doing adult things to girls(more visible in Japanese versions of , tons of blood everywhere, lots of talk and graphics with sex in them and etc.

Anime is not a bloody genre, it is a medium. It is not possible to pass judgement on anime, only on specific genres, demographic categories and specific titles. Why do I even need to point this out? It should be pretty damn obvious.
