I certainly wouldn't count on anyone simulcasting Initial D Fifth Stage, as it is pay per view, even in Japan.

I'm not so sure about that. Sometimes producers do realize that the markets are completely different and thus allow different methods of viewing in other countries (ie Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas, Upotte). In this situation there's no issue of 'reverse streaming' due to region locks either.

Of course in the end it comes down to the producers willingness to license the series. All I'm saying is that I wouldn't put it on the very unlikely list just because it's pay per view over there.

Based on TBS involvement, I'd say the chance of anybody simulcasting is low unless it's licensed and then it would likely be a delaycast anyway.

While I was going to disagree and say that there is not a lot of precedence for TBS productions that broadcast outside of the TBS network, but on closer inspection... This looks a lot like K-ON! (seasons 1 and 2), which had nearly identical production with the same studio and was also not simulcast. And that were one of the only times a series with Pony Canyon listed under production was not simulcast in recent seasons. So I'm more inclined to think you are right in that its chances are lower.

On a different topic, Hidamari Sketch x Honeycomb is one that I think some are predicting will be simulcast based on the previous seasons already being licensed. Sentai had licensed the season 1 when the last (3rd) season came out (Jan 2010), but that season was not simulcast. Also of the 8 or so anime adaptations based Houbunsha published source material none have been simulcast. With those two sets of precedence, I was considering Hidamari Sketch x Honeycomb as not likely to be simulcast. Though I don't mind being wrong about that.

Now that Area no Kishi has also been confirmed to be ending, CR should have 13 continuing simulcasts for the Fall season (assuming my assumptions regarding HxH and Poyo are true).

Well Hunter X Hunter has already broken the initial 45 episode count Madhouse was gambling with and it's getting a movie so at this point there's no reason to assume it's ending.

Sometime after the initial listing NTV changed the episode count to 50+ instead of 45+. I agree with what you're saying (hence I assumed that it is continuing), but AFAIK there's nothing actually confirming it yet.

I can not believe Litchi no Hikari is getting an anime, even if it just a short. It is gruesome beyond gruesome, I mean if they aren't even going to do it well, they should not even do it period. I am happy though and can not wait to see it.

Will watch!

Litchi no Hikari (will anyone even sub it?)
Bakuman3 (duh!)
Jormungand

Maybe
Btoom>
Zetsuen no Tempest...although it looks like it might be bad
Suki-tte Ii ya no (I liked the manga)
Tonari no Kaibutsukun (cause I liked the manga)
Psycho-pass
Code Breaker (even though I couldn't get into the manga at all)

Please don't let Funimation take all the good shows. *crosses fingers*

I know they already stole Jormungand away.

hoping they start announcing sometime next week, considering some fall shows are starting first week of October like "K"
don't they sometimes start announcing around a week or so before shows start? I don't really remember lol

They almost certainly have Hiiro no Kakera Season 2, which starts on September 30, so we can expect an announcement before then.

Shinsekai Yori is the anime with the earliest start that hasn't already begun, and it begins on September 28 (U.S. time).

They will be at Anime Weekend Atlanta starting on September 28, so it isn't a stretch to assume they will make some announcements at that convention or at least during that time frame (which they could then publicize at the con).

For the summer season, they announced three shows in mid-June (at least 2 weeks early), but I didn't really expect them to do that again this time around. I expect the first announcements to come out no earlier than September 28 this time.

If they have Shinsekai Yori, they might announce it before then (since it starts that day), but CR has done same-day announcements before. It is also from A-1 Pictures, which means Aniplex is likely handling it, which could mean it will be a delay-cast.
