So AOD has 6 simulcasts for the UK this season, the first one being K. This is a big step up from their almost dead state, and all 6 are free with no ads this season too. They've taken away the subscriber option so I'm assuming the free stream is their usual HD stuff (it looks more like 540p, but whatever).

Their video quality is slightly better than Hulu and their site is proxy friendly, so if they are timely (and given their history that's a very very big if) their streams might be worth checking out.

The Anime Spotlight for Shin Sekai Yori(From the New World) makes it sound like TV Asahi's the distributor and not Aniplex (yes, it does say world famous A-1 Pictures). ...

I didn't see that, I only see A-1 pictures promoted as the Animation studio for the series.

Or are you saying that TV Asahi is normally the international licensor of series when A-1 Pictures is the lead animation studio?

In any event, after reading the interview, that makes the second series that I'm looking forward to this season.

There's no reason to be panic, AOD simulcasts don't have any impact on CR's streams for people outside of the UK.

Aniplex owns A-1 pictures, so naturally they distribute most of the series A-1 pictures produce. They don't seem to be involved in this series though, so TV Asahi is next in line.

Most recent TV Asahi series have made it to CR, but that doesn't mean much when home video rights are also involved.

What is there in the Anime Spotlight that signals that Aniplex doesn't seem to be involved in distribution of From the New World?

Given that Funimation jumped on Fractale, I wouldn't be shocked if they picked this one up too, but I am hoping that if it gets an R1 license, Sentai picked it up and sublicenses it to Crunchyroll.

Maybe because there's no Aniplex logo on the trailer? I can't see anything else in the spotlight suggesting it, but Pony Canyon are releasing the BDs/DVDs so it's reasonable to assume that Aniplex isn't involved at all.

Looks like the second simulcast on Anime on Demand for the UK is Regardless of My Adolescent Delusions of Grandeur, I Want a Date! (Chūnibyō Demo Koi ga Shitai!). Damn, looks like they're more than serious this season.

I have already finished all the good shows on CR. Now I have to wait until a week or two until I get something decent to watch.

Crunchyroll has added a box. Two announcements tomorrow and a Sunday(?!) announcement.

Thinking that tomorrow's announcements could be any of the following 4: Tonari no Kaibutsu-kin(The Monster Next To Me), Kamisama Kiss, Wooser no Sono Higurashi(Wooser's Hand-to-Mouth Life) or Litchi DE Hikari Club(Lychee Light club). Medaka Box Abnormal doesn't start until the 10th so I don't see CR being in any rush to announce that.

From Countdown, shows premereing in less than 7 days. As of 6:45 p.m EDT

Shin Sekai Yori: 17 hours, 45 minutes (September 29th 12:30 a.m JST) (broadcast premiere is October 2nd IIRC)
Hiiro no Kakera 2: 2d 14h(September 30th 10 pm JST) ( Crunchyroll simulcast )
Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun: 3d 17h(October 2nd 1:35 a.m JST)
Kamisama Kiss: 3d 18h(October 2nd 2:05 a.m JST)
Litchi Hikari Club: 3d 19h(October 2nd 3:30 a.m JST) (short anime)
CSH Gyrozetter: 4d 10h(October 2nd 6 p.m JST)
Wooser no Sono Higurashi: 4d 17h(October 3rd 1:35 a.m JST) (5 min short)
Chuunibyou: 5d 16h(October 4th 12:30 a.m JST) (For those in the UK & Eire: AnimeOnDemand simulcast
Hayate no Gotoku: 5d 18h(October 4th 2:05 a.m JST)
Gintama: 6d 10h(October 4th 6 p.m JST) ( Crunchyroll simulcast )
Btooom!: 6d 15h(October 4th 11 p.m JST)
Hidamari Sketch: 6d 17h(October 5th 1:25 a.m JST)
Busou Shinki: 6d 18h(October 5th 1:55 a.m JST)
Zetsuen no Tempest: 6d 18h(October 5th 2 a.m JST)
K: 6d 18h(October 5th 2:25 a.m) (For those in the US: Viz simulcast, for those in UK & Eire: AnimeOnDemand simulcast)
