Most Underrated Anime in Existence?

Such a great show! I read the mangas as well, but I WISH the light novels would get translated into English. Sadly, the ending for the series was terrible. |

1% evil. 99% fangirl.

Hard to say for me but...
Shigofumi: Letters of the Departed, Phantom: Requiem, Aria the Animation, Honey and Clover, NANA, GTO, Samurai Champloo, Otome Yōkai Zakuro, and some others are worth mentioning. |

Haibane Renmei. I was very ill for a few months in 2007, and I watched that series a few times.

Terra e... (http://myanimelist.net/anime/2158/Terra_e...)
My favorite series of 2007, doomed to eternal obscurity because of its "classic" character design and the terrible timing of its release! Terra e.. began airing during the climax of Death Note and the cliff-hanger of Code Geass part 1, Aired during the same timeframe as more flashy and trendy titles, including Tengan Toppa Gurren Lagnn, Darker than Black, Claymore, Seirei no Moribito, Denno Coil, Hayate the Combat Butler and Heroic Age, among others. I completed all the other series mentioned above in 2007 or 2008, but didn't even hear about Terra e.. until two years ago, and didn't get around to watching it until last year. I've watched it twice since. |

I haven't read the manga yet but right now I can say without a doubt that those two series (while not the best series) were titles I enjoyed and marathoned. In fact, I'm considering re-watching now tbh. |

Basically, I think this show wasn't as well received because it does have a lot to do with the game of baseball. But for me it was the characters that drew me in. I found myself cheering when they triumphed and sniffling when they didn't. Not too mention, I thought the dub was very good. I actually thought that anime was okay. It doesn't matter if it's baseball to me. One Outs and Moshidora were also about baseball, but I think Moshidora was better than Big Windup. See, I'd never seen any sports anime up to that point. I thought Big Windup! wouldn't be good at all, and merely tried it on a whim. I guess that's why I was so surprised - it was better than I expected, much better in fact. As for the other two series you mentioned, I've never seen either, but Moshidora looks good. I like the idea of putting business principles into a sports team. |

I'd Say...
Bokura Ga Ita (We were there) or The Tatami Galaxy Both of them are among my all time favorites, yet almost nobody ever mentions them when talking about great anime. |
