So, I did a search on CR forums and couldn't find a thread for this. Seriously?
Here's the synopsis:
12,000 years have passed in this world, the story of Apollon and Sylvie have become a children's story called "Skies Of Aquaria". The "Abductors" Invaders from Altea come to Earth with only one purpose, they invade to harvest humans. DEAVA the Aquaria Academy exists to train men and women to use Aquaria, but they cannot ever merge because of Guize stones, these block an "unholy union" between genders. The story follows Amata and Mikono in their enrollment into DEAVA, and fight the Abductors.
Anyways, this series has quickly climbed up to my top 5's so far this Spring Season even though it's already finished airing. While not being an original fan of the Genesis of Aquarion, I really like the pace and mood of this sequel with the new balanced cast of characters.
The characters and designs so far are memorable and unique with various stark personalities. Its cutting edge characters are what makes them unique and shine in this sequel compared to the original series (imo). And ye...for those who have seen the original series, it makes the joke of orgasm when combining LOL.
So ya, this rather underrated series deserves praise and appreciation.
