My Manifesto!

slave is simply a word. it wouldnt ahve to be called slave, but it was a word to put to the idea.

and it ALREADY takes forever for laws to be passed, because our system isnt refined in the slightest. refinement, and smooth running, would be absolutely necissary for this to work. without it, it would crumble quickly

After reading your posts, these are the ideas I remembered and that popped into my head. Not criticizing or trying to make an argument because I honestly suck arguing about political ideas.

Human beings are not governable. The History of civilization is my proof.(I Think? )

Whether IQ is an accurate and complete measure of intelligence is debatable. Intelligence possesses different contexts, from problem solving, to creativity, mental skills, etc. IQ tests do not address the entire spectrum. Genetics also play a role in a person's intelligence as well as how intellectually nurturing the person's living environment is. Making such a strict type of social stratification as the Cast System and taking IQ as one of the factors is not just. A caste system will generate discrimination even among highly intelligent people, because intelligence and open-mindedness are not the same.

If the lowest rank members are to be in charge of menial tasks (which most of them involve high physical demands) it would be very difficult for them to go up in ranking; since their jobs as well as their social environment would not be as nurturing as the others. This is unfair.

Power corrupts. It can happen to anyone at any time, regardless of how aware they are of this.

The virtue of justice consists of moderation, regulated by wisdom.
A great government is one that stands with people. Not above them.
Not many societies can survive if they attempt to be exclusive.

I like it ^_^ but some random nit picky questions just out of curiousity...

What if someone's IQ was high, but common sense was low? Would there be some way of averaging them...? How would they be placed in the caste system?

It says "slaves" would be able to retake the test in hopes of a higher score, may the other groups retake also? It would only seem fair, especially in accordance with the 5th right ^^!

The person elected for life, what do their duties include besides reporting voting results, and would these duties be too much stress for one person over an entire lifetime? Is retirement possible...?

Is their age restrictions on positions, besides 18?

10 year terms seem kind of long... what if someone who was elected SEEMED like a good choice, but clearly wasn't, even though they haven't done anything outrageously wrong except make choices that make the people unhappy (like Bush). Then the people are stuck with this person for the next "x" amount of years!

When the 1000 people are randomly chosen is there a way to ensure they know how to do their job and how the goverment works? Required class or something...?

well said, and this is what i like.

honestly, ive put thought into it, but im one person, so i cant know all about how it ight be put into use.

IQ is definately a sign of intelligence, but there are others. honestly, common sense is more useful in the real world than high iq, but its rare that they are both high (me, for instance. i have an iq of 150+, but i have very little common sense and am bad with dealing with people a lot of the time. i would almost certainly not be in the leader class). when they are, they are usually amazing leaders and amazing people.

and yes, anyone can retake the tests, and no the lines arent completely that strict, thats just a basic idea of it.if a person is amazing with something, then their class wont matter more than their ability.

the menial labor thing is just as it is now...ive grown up in pretty low-class family (we are eithe rlower middle, or high-end lower, i dun remember the numbers) and ive grown to be an incredibly smart person. but there are also people who have grown up incredibly rich, but are just dumb as hell. so while genetics and hereditary raisings can help, they wont DEFINE (my dad, for instance is one of the most book-smart people ive ever met when it comes to left-brained activities. however, aside from drawing and painting, his right-brain is severely lacking. his parents and sisters are almost the exact opposite). if a person who worked a 10 hour shift of moving peoples furniture came home and started reading, and learning, and studying a bit in their free time, they could take, and likely pass, said tests. my brothers girlfriends brother is a mover, but hes really smart, and he loves to learn just as i do. menial tasks doesnt mean theyd be moving everyting all the time, cleaning toilets 20 hours a day etc. the work ethic would remain mostly the same as here...just umm...less self-bases, hopefull.

and again, slaves is simply a word, it denotes something very very bad in americans views, but slavery wasnt always as bad as it was here, in some places slaves were basically just like butlers and maids, nannies and cooks. part of the family, and loved like it.

and mauz, humans ARE governable, it willjust eventually destabalize and fall, and another will pop up in its place and views change.

and one last thing...corruption will always exist. the quantity of quality (or lackthereof) of the corruption, however, can be lowered a great amount from what we currently have.

and id like to add, fuck le se faire (prolly spelled that incorrectly). put a monetary cap on net personal profit in a year, and use the extra money for schooling and research. something that i think would help the US a HUGE amout; make our children smart, college free or close to it, fund research for health, and healthcare free, or VERY cheap.
