The human body is more advanced than all of our technology. Our brains are actually quantum computers. If we activate all of our dormant DNA we will become more powerful than any man made technology. We will become like Dr. Manhattan.

Nanotechnology has the potential to go one step ahead. It would allow us to be a thousand times smarter, have photographic memory, and we could also back up our memories in case any brain trauma occurs.

Nanotechnology will also be able to repair tissue, blood cells, remove cancer, cure Alzheimer's, make it impossible to get the cold or flue, and even repair damaged organs and force flesh wounds to clot hundreds if not thousands of times faster.

You will even be able to back up your consciousness, without losing yourself to a new you, because the electrons remain the same while simply replacing many of the components that help the brain function. It would also allow people to connect to the internet from within their own head. Neural linking of sorts, think of Accel world.

This is all technology that many scientists believe will be within most of our lifetimes. Even Ray Kurzweil, said to be one of the smartest scientists alive, predicts this, and he has predicted future technology correctly before. Bill gates even endorses the man, if that means anything.

Just think. What if you want to learn another language? Why bother spending 6-10 years to become fluent, when you can install it into your memory. People will even be able to write entire books in less than a day. This is stuff that's just like in the matrix. Theoretically, it is possible with future technology.

Depends on the situation. Such technology can further conflict national or international wise. But for fun purposes, then it would be cool. I'm pretty sure some people here would want some cool cybernetic enhancement. (Built-in music player in my head just saying.)

I think improving the human body with technology is a natural step in the evolution of a human being. For thousands of years we have used "technology" to survive and slowly help us climb higher up in the food chain. The ability to create and use technology was due to evolution so to me it only makes sense that we take the use one step further and use technology to make us stronger, faster, smarter, and maybe almost immortal. With the use of technology to improve ourselves the limits of the human body would only be contained by the imagination of our minds. Think about the countless applications forms of technological improvements could have on our mind! We could never go to school since we could install entire courses in our heads in a matter of seconds. Imagine becoming an expert guitar player by just installing some sort of software in your brain. Furthermore all the over the top things we see on anime would be possible jump 30 feet in the air no problem, Punch a dude through 15 walls that'll be normal, have your arm chopped off whatever I'll just grow a new one Now I'll imagine we'll have a bunch of backlash from a ton of people and this is a very sensitive topic. Some very religious people will say that it goes against god but when has religion not stifled scientific innovation. Other people wouldn't want to do it because their scared of change, we humans generally don't like change even if it is for the better. But regardless of the reasons why people wouldn't want to do it I believe the benefits far outweigh the cons and it fill help us further advance as a species. We shouldn't be scared of technology instead we should embrace it for without technology none of us would be alive today and the human race would have been extinct a long time ago. Well this post was really flipping long but I can't wait till every human is as damn strong as a dbz character

Yes, I want to fly, or at least jump higher. I wouldn't want any sort of computer chips directly routed to my brain or spinal cords though. If I could just jump higher and some how float or fly for an extended period of time I would be 100% down.

Modifying prosthetic limbs into powerful and deadly weapons, with enough fire power to pierce through objects with a large mass like a thick cube of concrete.

Yeah, promote technology that will lead to your slavery. Uhmm. You do know that this type of tech will eventually lead to containing the soul within a metal container and that soul can stay in it indefinitely to suffer by the hands of your masters.

As if it's not already happening to most of us.

I think we'll see a mix of biological and mechanical, and stuff like the computer collars in Accel World in the future. The whole "cyber brain" thing seems a bit too much when I look at it, and I doubt fully cyberized bodies will be the go to, or most feasible option. I just don't think over-extensive body modification will be that popular when a more natural option is available.

By the time we have that, aliens would probably come and take over the planet. NASA send a disc everything about earth to space.
