Preview http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOgdQaYzqqoSynopsis The story centers around five Japanese high school students who are too young to be called adults, but who no longer think of themselves as children. Wakana Sakai once took music lessons, but she withdrew from music after losing her mother. Konatsu Miyamoto is a positive-thinking girl who loves singing and spends time after school at the vocal music club. Sawa Okita is a spirited archery club member who dreams of becoming a horse rider. Daichi Tanaka is a chronically late badminton team member who lives with his college student sister. "Wiin" just transfered into Wakana's class after 12 years abroad in Australia. Music brings Wakana, Konatsu, Sawa and the others together into an ensemble during their last summer in high school. Main Characters & Voice Actors Wakana Sakai Voiced by: Ayahi Takagaki Wakana lives with her father and her pet cat, Dora. Prior to her mother's passing. Despite the fact that she is apparently very good at singing, she refuses to do so to the point of turning down Konatsu's attempt to recruit her into her new choir club. Konatsu Miyamoto Voiced by: Asami Seto A short, earnest girl who loves to sing and dance. She was previously affiliated with the choir club until she had a falling out with their supervisor. Sawa Okita Voiced by: Saori Hayami Sawa is Konatsu's best friend. Apart from being an equestrian with her horse, Sabure, Sawa is also a member of the archery club, and is the first member invited by Konatsu into the latter's new music club. Taichi Tanaka Voiced by: Nobunaga Shimazaki The sole member of the badminton club, Taichi is a very serious person. He is also the student assigned to guide Wien around school on his first day. "Wien" / Atsuhiro Maeda Voiced by: Natsuki Hanae Wien is the new transfer student from Austria, where he lived for twelve years. Due to his time away, he is very unfamiliar with Japanese customs, and had thus consulted books on the proper mannerisms, often to humorous results when he misuses certain gestures. Opening & Ending Opening: "Dreamer" by AiRI Ending: "Shiokaze no Harmony" by Shirahamazaka Koukou Gasshou-bu Other Information Episodes: 13 Status: Currently Airing Aired: Jul 1, 2012 to ? Producers: Lantis, P.A. Works, Pony Canyon, Sentai Filmworks Genres: School, Slice-of-life, Music(?) Premiered: Sunday, July 1, 2012 Availability: USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden First Impressions Not too shabby for the first episode. It looks like this is a slice-of-life series with cute girls doing cute things and guys being themselves. The animation is beautiful and there's also comedy mixed in with a little drama. So far though, this seems just so-so imo. For those who liked the series Hanasaku Iroha, then Tari Tari should definitely be on your to-watch list. Other than that, I see that this is a cute anime series for this summer but nothing too special overall. |

Maybe I heard wrong, but didn't "Wien" ("Wiin") move back from Austria (Europe), not Australia?
Anyway, I got the Hanasaku Iroha vibe too while watching the first episode. I was looking forward to this one among the announced summer series, and so far it's looking good. |

Cute first episode! They introduced so many characters but they all seemed real... I especially liked the transfer boy and his out of date mannerisms. lol Nice touch.
It has a Hanasaku Iroha feeling mixed with K-on and Tamayura... or maybe Natsu iro Kisekei. |

Azathoth watches over us. <3

This is probably the best music anime next to K-On of course. Everything in this anime is perfect in my opinion and I hope that they are consistent with the rest.

I watched the first ep, and I enjoyed it very much. It's a good cast of characters. It's interesting that it is the same 3:2 female-to-male ratio as in AnoNatsu. And of course the whole "Do you have a boyfriend yet?" isn't hinting at anything. Nope. Can't see where that will go. :)
The first few seconds of the ep leads me to believe that Sakai stopped singing because of her mother. |
