I first heard about this from Random Curiosity's season preview. When I saw the picture, I knew this would be pretty interesting. Upon reading the description, I knew I'd have to at least try it. And after watching the first episode, I was stuck on it!

But judging on how it's going so far, I'll guess it'll getting a 7/10(my rating system) from me. ~_~ Gotta wait until it's over with before I rate it though!

Judging by the amounts of good responses on this forum, I suppose I am the only one in the world who dislikes this show & thinks it's boring.

I'm giving it my standard 3-episode trial, but so far yeah, boring.

Episode 3

Lol'd @ beginning.

Anyways, spider pig and badminton and also...

I am no money! Thank You!

The badminton match between the guys and the girls with stakes on the line. Mm, serious business. But that vice principal in this episode...what an asshole. Anyways, decent episode.

There were some shaky parts in this episode, but I enjoyed other aspects of it enough that I think I'll give ep 4 another shot. It's cute and I can see where it's going, but I don't care enough for the characters. We'll see if that changes.

BTW, I love how the ED is being updated as the choir starts to come together.

Yup same and also noticed the additional characters added during the ED song as a way that they become united as a choir and sometimes badminton club.

That's when the title finally clicked for me. I was wondering why "Tari Tari". Now it makes sense.

OK, do share! What is the meaning behind the title? :)

D'oh. I was tired and it was a rough week, so I completely forgot to share.

Basically, it's a pun based on the new club's title. You'll find Japanese people rather enjoy puns and wordplay, so stuff like this isn't uncommon.

There are a lot of ways to conjugate Japanese verbs, one of which is a "list form" using -tari. You can think of it a bit like the gerund in English. If you forgotten what that means, it's just adding "ing" to a verb. For instance, "I'm reading, writing, and chewing gum." Tari is slightly different, but this should give you the general idea.

The new club's name is "Singing, Dancing, and sometimes Badminton Club". On the application form, it wasn't written using the -tari construction, but it could easily have been.

So, I *think* the title "Tari Tari" is a little joke that the club will be doing a little bit of everything.

Thanks! That is a good explanation, and may explain why the episode titles are always X-ing and Y-ing. (Running and Inviting - Gathering and Struggling - Swinging and Meeting - Getting angry and Dancing)

All I know is that Konatsu is some kind of genius and the poor injured principal is a big ol' softy! I really can't wait to find out more about Sakai's mom and her connection to the adults in the show!

You're right! This week is futtari deattari with the Tari endings in color, similar every episode :

Not fond of the official title translation BTW, not what I would have used but since it has to be blanking and blanking I guess they go with format over meaning.

Episode 1&2 ED

Episode 3 ED

Of course it was already noted how the ending is updated when new members are added, but did anyone notice that Wakana Sakai is in the distance, but as she becomes a willing active member of the Choir and sometimes Badminton club she will eventually join the group in the ED.

Yep. I wonder if more people will join them as the show progresses.
