I do plan to watch this series. It has that Hanasaku Iroha look.

Episode 4

A relaxing episode but not without some drama. It also turns out that Sakai's "stalker" is back but things have settled down.

So, lesson learned this episode: don't give up and follow your dreams. Rome wasn't built in single day.

This was a really good episode! I love the fact that they are going through and doing performances so often. Most slice-of-life shows would take twice as long to cover the material that Tari Tari has covered. The characters are really taking shape and Wakana's back story is also. The fact that
is really great!

Watched all the episodes so far released. The animation is amazing but hopefully there's more of a storyline as the series continues.

It's a good anime, I found the beginning more interesting than the continuing episodes, though. Perhaps I just need to give it more time and let it develop more. I did like it, after all.

With the ending changing along with the story I figured that Wakana would've been sitting further from the group. I suspect her mom is taking care of Dora.

Episode 5

Well, it looks like Wakana Sakai is down as always. There's some reasons for that and her past is one of them.

Tanaka on the other hand struggles in the sport that he loves even with the cheering of his friends.

I had the same suspicion. Poor Wakana I already can't wait for next week's episode!

Great episode. This anime sort of reminds me of Sugar, A Little Snow Fairy but with a few darker tones.

So many shows would have had Taichi be successful and at least make the finals in his badminton tournament, but not Tari Tari. There is an underlying sense of realism in the supposedly idyllic world these characters live in. Taichi wants to move forward with badminton, but the reality of the situation is that, without the support of a team and a good coach other than his older sister, who was his inspiration to start playing the sport and why he chose to go to a school that doesn't really have an emphasis on the sport, he can only go so far. Hopefully that will be far enough for a top tier college badminton program to give a shot at him, after all, he is one of the top eight in the country, so there should be a spot on a good college team for him, but not enough to qualify as one of the truly elite. Sawa finally made her goals in life clear. The big hurdle for her would be her size. According to the character page on MAL she is 5'6", which isn't a deal breaker, but she is also 55 kg, which translates to over 120lb, which is a deal breaker for jockeys. In the US at least, you have to be below 115 lb to be a jockey. Other places it is as low as 110 lb for an apprentice, with a little more weight allowed for full fledged jockeys. Sure, she could probably loose 10 or 15 lb to do it, but would it be healthy, and would it be something that would be good for the anime to show happening? There are enough young women with weight hang-ups as it is, it would be sad for a show with a fairly realistic body style character like Sawa to be shown doing some sort of diet in order to get too thin so she could participate in the sport she loves!

As for the meat of the episode: Wakana is in so much pain! I hope her friends can help her in the next episode or two!

Poor Wakana. She's struggling with guilt and running from her past. That's never a good combination.

I'm surprised a bit by how much the show is revolving around her and her past. But it looks like fixing her problems will go a long way towards helping the rest of the group.
