as far as the show is, I'm not sure I like it or if its just ok with me, though it does feel that there is a lot less nudity than I initially thought there would be.

Yeah, in this day and time, I came up with the same conclusion. I think the outcome would be the same for quite some time as well.

The less nudity part is fine with me though. The skin tight suits are pushing it already. The show would be fine with less fanservice.

i was getting tired of the banter back and forth , i hope it ends in this episode.

At least episode 5 is better than 4 and why they have to fuzz out his butt . Also i was wondering about Top Gun's first name Yuya .

The threat of the beta seem kind of nonexistent these past few episodes. I can't say I like how they switched the focus of the main character from Takamura to Yuuya either. Hopefully this anime picks back up soon as its been pretty boring just watching Yuuya be a douche and try and get used to his new mech.

That's because the author wants you to understand that despite the global, persistent, and multi-decade threat of a massive alien presence that considers humans to be super tasty snackie bits, there's always time to set aside for stupid and unnecessary teenage drama.

I'm still wondering why it has been thirty years and they have only just recently left Russia into Japan(if you watch the early eps they have maps of where they invaded and it was pretty much just Russia), despite overwhelming numbers, the apparent ability to level Japan's Capitol in a night, and a clear penchant for cracking open those Gundams to get at the yummy human treats inside.

These aliens remind me of an only slightly more menacing version of the Pilot Candidate/Candidate for Goddess aliens - who just kind of floated around in space(I never saw them attack in the anime) and the humans just ran in and starting shooting and still died.

The KGB interrogation team a ep or so back seemed more menacing...

I'm wondering what goes on behind enemy lines. After all, if they were gorging themselves on all humans (and I presume animals) in their path, there would be little to sustain them behind the front lines. It seems clear that is also where they breed and mature. Perhaps they attack to feed, many retreat to breed while others maintain the front line, and then the cycle repeats. That would mean that likely a huge amount of the space they "occupy" is actually almost entirely empty, but would be folly for humans to try and re-occupy.

As to Pilot Candidate/Candidate for Goddess, do you mean the aliens didn't attack until we shot first, or do you mean they never attack? If the latter, I believe you're wrong, as although I admit it was years ago (when it aired on CN) that I saw the series, I recall them attacking a colony that one of the characters lived on when younger.

Well, Russia is a whole lot of empty to begin with, but we're left with pretty much nothing to go on with them since the BETA aren't even touched on. Do they build nests? Are they nomadic? Do they have to bring food back to something or does their entire species swarm out like locusts? Why are those laser eyes so criminally effective? What does it all matter when you can just watch a teenage drama about a racist pilot and his incompetent leadership?

And no, I don't mean by storyline, I mean by how badly they're depicted in the anime. I'm almost positive that whoever did the modeling for those aliens in Pilot Candidate never even really had any attack animations made for them, from what episodes of the english dub I managed to catch. Far as I can tell, even in that flashback, all they really did was float up to things and the characters go on about what a horrible attack it is. I felt like I was watching a school of space Trout swimming around aimlessly.

I would almost venture that behind enemy/alien lines is either barren or could be changed to suit the needs of the aliens, terraformed. Considering the multiple uniform types and military capabilities of the aliens shown in the first couple of episodes, ground assault and anti-air, its possible they were engineered versus a naturally arising species. I would be curious to see if they kept a presence on the Moon following the conflict there. I think the aliens are taking a back seat in the story so this is just speculation.

I'm not sure what I'm watching anymore. The series started off very gory then turned into training camp that's lasted up to at least episode 7 and the last two episodes were just some bizarre relationship discovery? I hope this gets back to the battle quickly as I'm losing interest in this. I don't want this turning into another Arcana Famiglia that I dropped after watching two episodes and falling asleep the majority of the third. Promises of action in the first episode then "what the hell" after that.

Plot summary: High school girls Mecha reserves training. Japan wiped out by BETA Brain EaTing Aliens... Alaska/Yukon training where half American Japanese pilot says the Zero like Japanese mecha sucks compared to the P40 like American model... Kidnapped by Russian intelligence after following mystery loli into warehouse... Bikini harem intermission with sudden typhoon during dinghy raft race, shipwrecked on pacific island, rescued by mecha... Race losers, days late due to shipwreck and injuries, must pose for photos in classic swimwear... Next week: Back to the eastern front!!! WTF... I have always loved Mecha anime so I had high hopes but... I have watched so far so I will likely watch the rest but wow, this series has no sense of direction or organization at all, just a random series of tropes it seems.

Yeah, the first two episodes really feel like bait. I'm hoping the switch back to action next week can save this show.

You people did read the plot synopsis, right?

THAT WAS ANIME EXCLUSIVE PREQUEL MATERIAL TO SET UP YUI'S CHARACTER (Caps for emphasis.)
Otherwise, she would've come off as an insufferable dick.

The entire series is not going to be like that. We do have
coming up in the next few episodes. MAYBE, depending on how they pace it.

Even then, you might get more near the end depending on how they handle the cliffhanger the light novels cut off at. Whether or not they go cliff-hanger ending or anime original, you might get more dark, gory stuff.

I completely lost interest in the anime after episode 6. After that episode of ridiculous cliches I didn't really care if the action ever picked back up.
