Nope. They're just like other people. Some are nice, some aren't.
A lot of people at my church are nice to you but are judgmental and talk about you behind ur back

That's like asking if Japanese people are nicer than Americans. You can't lump an entire group together based on one similarity.
Posted 8/11/12
It all depends on the individual I suppose. But the ones that I've met? No. They're not nicer at all, in fact, one of them is extremely rude & arrogant to everyone around him.

Christian, Muslim, Secular...

Anyone can take any identity to prove a point. Someone can say he/she is a Christian to be treated nicely in a society where people think that Christians are generally nicer and so on.

This also applies to nationality and what family you come from. Some American tourists tell foreigners that they are Canadians so they can be treated friendly.

Judge a person by one's past actions and intentions, not the identity because anyone can adopt an identity. If you've live in a Western country, you could easily lie and say you're a Christian.

no! i know a lot more douche bags who are christian more than any other religion. i'm not saying that christianity sucks or something though. i don't believe in religion.

I will say its more on the personality, but most Christians try to follow what Jesus teaches them.
I'll say, have love in your heart, and that's the way you'll be a good person.
i'm a Christian myself.

I would hope that most humans are nice people, regardless of their religious leanings.

It really comes down to every individual person...

But the group in general (like any other fanatical group) has a bloody history, full of crusades, ethnic cleansing, etc.

If we're only talking about believing born-again Christians, then they might have any kind of personality, but the holy spirit would give them the ability to truly love others. That doesn't always mean being 'nice'; Christians should be frequently in conflict with others over moral issues. But all the strong Christians I've known have been loving and considerate even when disagreeing with others

IMHO, any religous people that use a bible or holy book as an excuse to treat people badly are not nice people. So, no, I do not think christians are nicer people then most. I live in Canada, half the people here are athiests. They are much nicer then some of the religious fanatics around the world who use a book to cause trouble because only their teachings are "right".
PS: I am not an athiest
Also, I mean no harm to anyone. If you get offended, I apologize but it is my opinion. Have a nice day

Technically, if you're being kind because of your religion, you're doing it either because you were commanded to, or because you crave heaven, or fear hell. So, it's not done out of kindness, it's either fear, selfishness, or obedience.

On the flip side, atheists who do good, necessarily do it unselfishly and of their own free will.
