I think Death Note for me, I can never get tired of watching it, just the storyline and the plot twists make the Anime such a great watch, even if I know what is going to happen. It really is a pastime on a rainy day or when you're bored. I think I'm always trying to chase the nostalgia of the first time I watched it.

For some odd reason I rewatch Excel Saga a lot. Maybe it's because of these guys...

LEGEND OF THE GALACTIC HEROES

It's 110 episodes long, but I re-watch random episodes nearly everyday. I'm looking forward to re-watching it again and again and again. I'm a huge fan of this show and I love it to bits.

Kōkyōshihen Eureka SeveN is like the best of everything: drama, comedy, action, and the most important thing any anime should have A GOOD ENDING. also the collectible dvd's are awesome.

WOW! Hard question!

I have several that I like well enough to watch over and over, so I don't know that I can answer with just one series. So I will list a couple, then tell my final answer, which isn't a series, but two parts of two episodes from a single series.

Ah! My Goddess is a show I can watch over and over. I know all of the episodes by heart, and only occasionally have trouble telling the manga and anime versions of the story apart.

Spice and Wolf I can watch until the cows come home!

Zakuro is another, especially the final episode and the fight scene with Rangui.

BUT, the real answer to this question, the show that I can watch over and over, know the words by heart, and can never, ever watch too often, is Toradora! But not just the series, though I love to watch the whole thing when I have time. There are two parts that I watch over and over.

The first is the opening of the first episode up to the credits, one of the absolutely finest introductions to a show I have ever seen in my life. I still remember watching it the first time, and thinking "WOW! This show looks like it will be something special!" I love the opening monologue, or duologue, as it is shared by the two leads:

There exists in this world, something that no one has ever seen. It is gentle and so very sweet that it only takes a glimpse to make a person crave it. That is why this world has kept it hidden. Making it difficult to obtain. But one day, it will be found. By the one person who is meant to find it. Because that is how it works...

That is just pure genius! I can watch it over and over, and I always get a tear in my eye and a lump in my throat. Romance at its most pure and lovely! (And the moment when Taiga turns toward the camera and you see her face for the first time is breathtaking!)

The other is the first half of the final episode, right up to the absolutely, without a doubt, sweetest moment in the history of anime!

[BTW, anyone that watched the opening sequence to Toradora! and was upset at the final pairing really needs to figure out how to foreshadowing works! It was obvious from the very first moments of the show!]

For me, it's both Darker Than Black and Sayonara, Zetsubou Sensei.

Hei from DTB is one of the most awesome characters I've witness and I can't help but rewatch the show because of him. Yin is another character I care about in the show. In fact, her arc is the one I keep rewatching. I also revisit the show for Amber but she doesn't appear till the later half of the show. Even then, her presence is not too prominent until the end. She has very limited appearances that I has to skim through episodes to find her.

I never get bored from the antics of the characters in Zetsubou Sensei, too. They're comedic and fun to watch. No matter how many times Ishitoki screams "I'm in despair!" I always laugh. The characters are all absurd and the humor ranges from dark to philosophical to comedic. The slice of life is not a typical slice of life but an examination of everyday society. It's interesting in a social aspect as well as comedic. SHAFT did this show wonders and the few manga chapters I read were wonderful too.
