Umm... I can tell you if you're ordering anime or manga from Amazon, they're shipping it Media Mail, same as RightStuf, unless you've also ordered something ineligible for MM, or you have Amazon Prime (which has its own associated cost). And the 2½ weeks? Was everything you ordered backordered? RightStuf dropships at the Des Moines, IA location, which is THE central mid-west hub for mail sorting. Barring a postal screwup, packages get to me in less than a week.

No, it shipped the day after I ordered, but it took a long time. It shipped around June 19 and I got it on July 5th-6th or so. Partially delayed because of the 4th of July being a federal holiday. Also, I live in Hawaii. I thought that this could have been the main reason why it took so long.

Possibly. Admittingly, my data on shipping to Hawaii is spotty. What I find weird is that Amazon would still get to you so much faster; I don't know of a distribution center in Hawaii for them. I could possibly see a couple days faster if Amazon used their CA distribution center... I'll look into this some more...

I've never had to sign for anything and I buy from Right Stuf on a regular basis. Somethings can be back-ordered if they were of high demand, but they usually get them in again fairly quickly if they're not OOP or of limited supply. Preorders can delay the rest of your order, which is why they state to purchase them separately if you don't want to wait, but they also ship some things out before the release date, too. I got the World God Only Knows season 1 a month before it was supposed to be released. AnoHana got to me early, too, along with other stuff.

I really like ordering from them. Not only are the prices pretty good, along with selection and sales, but their packaging is outstanding. Their customer service isn't bad either. I'd definitely order from them over Amazon or Barnes and Noble.

I haven't ordered from them directly, but I have ordered from them through Amazon and here. I've never had to sign for anything as it's sent through the USPS. So far though, I can say that my experience with them is that they're pretty good and dependable.

Right Stuf is absolutely wonderful. I have been a loyal customer from them for years. (I don't even wanna think about how much I've spent on Right Stuf. ). I love their sales (their sales prices have become my standard "Is this is a good deal or not" calculation) and the few times that anything has ever gone wrong, their customer service has been fabulous. I prefer emailing them, but you can call and they even have a live chat option now (during their normal business hours) if you have a problem. They also have a wide presence on The Fandom Post forums so I have learned a lot of stuff from there.

@Baroku024: Did you contact their customer service? If you had a bad experience with them (their customer service) you could have contacted the CEO directly (Shawne Kleckner). He goes above and beyond to make customers happy.

For those that have never bought during their "Christmas Insanity Sales," stock times for those can take a few months if the item is REALLY popular. I think last year I bought Angel Beats! on Blu-Ray during their Christmas sales and it took a few months to ship. Actually, I can check that--I ordered it on November 28, 2011, shipped January 23, 2012. Ironically, in that particular order my mail person had a FIELD DAY with the box (Seriously, I was amazed it arrived at my house!). Because Right Stuf packs your stuff so well MOST of my stuff arrived in great shape--but the case for Angel Beats and one volume of manga weren't so lucky. I contacted their customer service to ask for a replacement case for the Blu-Ray (since the discs were fine I didn't need anything except a new case) and a replacement for the manga volume that took a beating. Customer service took care of me. (And you don't have to send anything back for defective items anymore! I used to think that was annoying as heck when an item was defective.)

If you use the Free Shipping option with them, you might have to plan out your order carefully if you want your stuff ASAP. Sometimes it can take a while for their "partial shipping rules" to kick in. (See here: http://www.fandompost.com/oldforums/showthread.php?885-1-and-Only-Rightstuf-Com-Thread-FAQ A LOT of questions you may have about Right Stuf can be answered here). Since I have a huge backlog, I don't really notice how long something takes to ship--most of the time.

If there's anything I fault Right Stuf with, it would be the fact you have to contact their customer service if you want to cancel something. Amazon makes it easy to cancel stuff. From what I read on various forums, Right Stuf is trying to figure out a way to put that into their system so that you can cancel items without having to contact customer service.

Wow...that's a lot of text. Anyway, I'm obviously a fan of buying from Right Stuf. I've been a loyal customer for years. I don't use their customer service much, but I thank the Retail Gods that they have good customer service if something DOES go wrong. Believe me, lousy customer service is a BIG factor in deciding where to buy stuff from.

I hope that helps!

I feel they work for me. But I get anime and don't mind waiting. I feel prices are good and not to low that your cheating the creator and your self from them releasing more here. We need to support our creator. OK, back on subject I don't usually do manga online for I fine cost that shipping adds, not worth it. I have good town library, used bookstores and big chains near me, where I shop for manga. Only time shop online is, when I can't get stuff, like rare. I like yaoi manga so I do a lot shopping at yaoiclub.com I guess. When I do shop at right stuf, it's important to check stock before ordering and make sure that your not preordering stuff. If you did check before hand and it change on you. It's best to contact them. Older item you order will have only so much stock and new stuff can have higher demand. Your problem is something that this come from buying stuff online. I say if you had this problem on 70% of all order, out of ever order you made on right stuf, then maybe time fine better store. If you this start used them and concerning fact that have good track record, it's little to early for you to give them cold shoulder. On right stuf, I tell you this, that the selection they have is one of best and deals are great. I'm telling you that they go dirt cheap on real old stuff. So look at it this way, your saving a lot of money for more stuff later on.

I have only ordered from them twice and have not had to sign once. But i can say they have great customer service if you need help, they even helped me find an anime i couldnt remember. And like everyone else says they go real cheap i love some of the older stuff and their bargain bins are awsome if your missing an artbox for your set or you just want that cool shirt or other item that that comes with it. i would say try it a few more time i know i will.
