Another fun episode with humor, action, battle, fanservice, harem development and more importantly some movement in the actual story because, believe it or not, action and fanservice alone are not enough to carry this series for the whole summer. I will watch it all and look forward to the next one. Got some good caps. Next week looks fun.

It's a misleading translation. Better translations would be: This is why I can't be perverted! / So I can't be perverted!

Using Google as a basis for translation:

Dakara = So/therefore/why

Boku wa = Japanese pronoun for I

H = Most likely shortened for "Hentai"

Dekinai = Cannot be

the third ending struck me really weird. they held hands, all blushing and everyting, and i thought that was nice and that was where the episode was gonna end, but then they just broke down right there! ryosuke-san just jumped right on top of lisara-san and they just did it right there! i was like, whoa! and for you meme makers out there like me, i also thought, "well, THAT escalated quickly."

Why is the ecchi blurred out...

It really bugs me...Sometimes, the editing takes up half the screen

Of all things for some reason the worst translations are often reserved for series titles. So I can't be Ecchi would be better. Crunchyroll probably doesn't want to actually put Hentai or ecchi in the title.

Ecchi itself is a funny word as it is the English phonetic spelling for 'H'y which is the Japanese phonetic spelling for the English 'H' in the Japanese word Hentai which means metamorphosis, abnormal or perverted with the last one being most popular today. I find it odd that the Japanese say ecchi desu for "I'm kinky" and ecchi shimasu for "have sex" though they also say sex shimasu and seiko shimasu. Seiko also means success so when speaking it can be hard to know if it means to be successful or that you had sex, so I don't say seiko to Japanese people, they like to make fun of me. Seiko watches, hmm. . If I say ippai, I'm full, they joke that I said Oppai, big jugs. Funny people, and definitely ecchi.

Even more ironic is the fact that he wasn't ecchi for about five nanoseconds in the first episode. He has been ecchi ever since and that is the whole point though it seems like he really likes Lisara. It is a harem comedy but not quite the usual harem interactions. Ryousuke actually wants to be ecchi so...

If you don't know Japanese then know that much of anime and manga really is lost in translation. Culturally too.



Read a few pages back where this was discussed already. Crunchyroll has licensed the public broadcast version which censors out the nipples and stuff. Since Lisara's suit disappears as her power drains she gets more and more naked as the battle goes on until, ironically this makes Ryousuke's erocharge work and he powers her back up and her suit reforms, well sometimes it does. The pay channel version that is ripped by fansubbers even had some censorship this week but not on everything. Very odd.

Nothing ground-breaking but I keep on coming back for more. I just shut off my brain for 30 minutes and let everything play out. Much better than i expected it to be though.

I kinda wish I'd stop hearing people complain about the censoring. Remember: Japan/US has weird censoring rules and CR doesn't have time to recompile the anime. Although fog would definitely detract less from the viewing than a flat out black bar. I suspect the DVD version will have an uncensored option. Maybe an 18+ version?

The pay channel version is not censored and comes out a week early. Let me say there will be a lot of black bars next week on Crunchyroll as they kicked the fanservice up a notch in episode six! So funny but good too, the story is advancing into new territory. The intro was really cool too.

Funny episode this week with Ryousake's mother making her debut while the same time asking him which girl he likes best.

Also, some history revealed that were somewhat similar to the pilot's episode. Suspicious much?

Possibly although I barely remember right now. Might have to re-watch episode to find out.

Would you be willing to pay CR about 3 times as much each month for that? That is close to what AT-X, the satellite channel in Japan that airs it uncensored, costs.
