If it wasn't for the duties I have at the lab, I would be dangerously close to being a NEET.
Heck, I was a NEET for the summer between college and grad school, considering that I just lazed around my mom's house and made no real effort to apply for a summer job (aside from downloading the standard application forms and then waiting a couple of weeks before even trying to fill them out). Then again, I've always been a slacker of sorts, so I guess it isn't too surprising that I'm so close to being a NEET. But at least I learned how to do laundry and wash the dishes. |

I guess I was technically a NEET for the past 6 months. I was laid off in January, but I was collecting unemployment... I was living the NEET life (it's the only NEET thing to do). Wake up late, go online, eat, sleep, poo, hang out with friends.
I broke that cycle last week since I finally got a part time job. But yes, I know what the NEET life feels like. It's good and bad. It's nice at first, but then you start to get bored. I watched a lot of anime during my 6 months as a NEET. There was actually another time when I was a NEET. It took me 6 months after graduation to get my first job. During those 6 months I was also a NEET. It seems like 6 months is the magic number for me. So I am a two-time NEET. For those of you who have never been a NEET, being a NEET might sound like the best thing ever. BUT, those of you who are NEETs know that it's only nice for the first month or two, then things just start going downhill (at least for me). You start feeling useless and you want to do something more. Can you believe that I WANTED to start working? |

I'm actually feeling that way right now after being in a sort of lazy slump for the last month. |

Nope, I work, so I am not one.
"Not in education, employment, or training" the definition of neet. But I have definitely been one before, and its only fun for a little bit, then you get bored. |

I miss my NEEThood good times when I could marathon an entire 26 episode series in one day with no interruptions. Now however I am in education and employment so I have officially lost my NEET card and I fear I may never get it back. Good times...Good times.... *cries inside*

I am not NEET, I am employed. Longest I've ever been NEET was probably for 4 months after I finished school.

Screw you. You don't know what it's like for us. Some are out looking for jobs, but no one is hiring. Some are trying to go back to school, but no one is accepting them. You gotta learn how to see things through other peoples perspective. |
