Speaking of gravity in anime, one item I always found amusing about the opening for Girls Bravo 2 was the Kirie was the first character I've seen with large breasts that actually rise when unclothed. (Watch the opening [Warning: animated nudity] at 41-42 seconds and you'll understand).

I dislike it. I'm fine with having very attractive girls in anime, I'm even fine with ALL the girls being really hot (although it takes away from some shows). But that always pissed me off and gave anime an ever worse name then it already has (not only is it considered childish but now its also perverted).

Easy answer. A simple trick of the coronal plane, flex your shoulder blades posteriorly, your pectoral muscles are pulled anteriorly and lifted in a superior motion. So pull your shoulders back and your chest goes out and up. In young women who have large healthy breast the motion is more pronounced. Have you ever paid attention to people at bars (no I'm not a regular) watch the alpha males walking into the bar and the physical responses from the women at the bar, it's fun to watch.

Nope...although I have been put off by art styles themselves through the years. Sometimes like I think it's unnecessary (Such as a certain green-dressed fae character on the most recent episode of Sword Art Online...) but it doesn't bug me all too much. I have, however, been embarrassed to watch something when I know girls are going to be parading around in skimpy bikinis the entire episode, in front of other people. I don't want them thinking I'm some sort of pervert when the summer break episode invariably pops up.

Eh I think it this case its actually more than reasonable. Unlike SAO, the avatars in ALO aren't scans of their real bodies, and if I know anything about playing MMO's is that people often like to "idealize" their avatars. So of course you are going to be getting avatars that are overtly sexualized, its what players often do. Its not like the Sylph's player has huge breasts also.

As to huge breasts in anime, it depends on the nature of the show. Parody types, as well as ones that focus on erotic humor usually get a pass from me as its being used intentionally to jive with the nature of the show. As for other anime they generally don't bother me either as long as its not baseline across all female characters, and as long as they aren't ridiculously big.

Most non comedy/parody anime that I've run into tend to not have over the top boobs in my opinion, despite what others consider "too big", but then again I see people with big breasts all the time in real life, so its not like they seem abnormal to me. Its only when I see stuff like in the OP's original post, that I go "Really?"

The characteristics of specific type of drawing tend to reflect something that lacks in the given place.
