Title: WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

P.S. Sorry for the incorrect grammar for the title it seems i couldn't edit the title for some reason...Gomen

I recently watched Boys over Flowers here on CR and they held a truth or dare game...one particular question i found intriguing.....how would you answer if that particular character asked you this question....
"If you were to choose between Love and Friendship? Who would you choose? And Why?

most classic asnwer would be friendship, but i really do think that there is no right asnwer for that question, here why...Friendship often ends in love and love in friendship.

People always say love when they are single and have never been with anyone. It's good to be hopeful but you will learn about love soon enough...

Anime romance is entertaining and sweet...too bad real life isn't like that

I'd choose Love. I can easily see my days being spent with the one I love.

If the choice is between 'True love' and friends, (which is what I think you are asking.) Always choose friends.

NothingLikeYou is actually right, the concept of true love (the romeo and juliet/'love at first sight' type) is in fact utter bs. It angers me deeply that people in the media spread this concept as such. Love is everywhere around you all you need to do is look for it, waiting for your so called 'chosen one,' to appear and 'complete you' will leave you alone, feeling empty and betrayed by the society that you believed in. You need to look for love and seize it.

I don't think this would still make sense if you would choose BOTH. Anyways. This topic is so vague.. but when i think about BOF.. maybe i'd prefer love. that is in the case of how the series went..

The question is a contradiction. True friendship means that you love your friends.

What's the point in choosing between two things, if you just say both?

If this were a choice between being single, but having unlimited friendships, and finding a partner, but only having them... I would definitely have to choose friendships. Of course, as people have pointed out, this is a hard question, as I there are many kinds of friendships and loves (and they often intersect).

Of the stable married relationships I've seen over the years most of the people in them regarded their significant other as their best friend. Although I wouldn't generalize this to be 100% accurate best friends have a tendency to confide and trust each other more implicitly than mere lovers.

I was always amazed in group therapy (yes, get a good mid-life crisis started and you'll willingly participate in a lot of these for answers) how certain couples would reveal that they never explored the unsaid in intimacy issues between each other in all their years of wedded bliss. Their counselor or therapist of choice knew more about them individually than their spouse. If a client can intuit that the counselor or therapist is sincere, a listener worthy of trust who can convey that sense of unconditional love then the client seeking answers or advice to get their lives "unstuck" will open up and reveal their deepest feelings. Not all spouses are equipped to handle this level of intimacy or are even aware of the other's real needs.

I choose friendship. If you have the good fortune to cultivate a few in your lifetime you'll discover them as rewarding as love and with far less conditions or expectations to honor.

This is well said and it is a very mature view in life..i agree in very aspect that you have observed uponed and concluded. Choosing Friendship with this kind of rational thinking was more than wise and sufficient by any other means.
