Hello,

As you might have guessed, I'm a fan of Code GEASS, bu for the life of me I can't fathom as to why the second season of the anime isn't on the website so we can all enjoy it in amazing quality. Was it ever on here and they took it off? Is there some copy right problems that they ran into so they can't put it on here? Or is it that it was simply decided that the second season wasn't going to be put on Crunchyroll? I'm sure others that are like minded with me would agree that if it's possible, the second season of Code GEASS should be put on Crunchyroll!

AFAIK, it was never here.

I thought originally it wasn't added because at the time the first series was added, Adult Swim either was still airing R2 or had only recently finished it (I can't recall which), but enough time has passed that should not be the issue.

It is curious why both of the Gundam00 series were licensed to CR by Bandai, but only the first Code Geass series.

My guess is that it boils down to contracts. Code Geass, as we all know, is a popular show in the Americas. Cartoon Network also saw this, with the broadcast of season 1. I'd say what probably happened is that CN paid Bandai an additional fee to add an exclusivity clause for broadcasting R2. What I can't guess at is how long this clause is for. Is it in perpetuity? Has CN been excercizing extension rights? Has it recently expired, and with Bandai US's current anime position, not signing any new contracts? Or was Bandai just asking more than CR was willing to pay? Obviously, we have no way of knowing. Frankly, if you want to see R2, I will recommend getting the DVDs before they become scarce. Some Bandai disks are already seeing scalpers grab them up...

I remember when I was in this same position for R2 a few years ago

It's because Bandai wants you to buy the DVDs. It's all a part of their trap.
I know I fell for it but I don't regret it.
Like what dunno001 said with Bandai US current status, I recommend getting the DVDs before there gone or only available at inflated prices.
