I still see people who are too timid to enter SailorBee's creative contests. Given that SailorBee has specifically stated all media is welcome in this contest:
As we all know, music is what brings the characters together in Kids on the Slope, so what i'd like you all to do is design your OWN ALBUM COVER inspired by the series ~ ! Please include OBVIOUS REFERENCES from the show in your artwork, that means, if you just borrow someone else's design we'll know ~ ! <3 All media welcome ~ !!! Scan or take a picture of your artwork, or do it entirely on your computer ~ !! There is no reason anyone should be timid about entering since Crunchyroll is giving out such fabulous prizes for all you anime fans. I made a silly album cover borrowing other people's art and photographs: Borrowed stuff... Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Silly Album Cover  The kids are on a music tour learning about the roots of jazz, blues and rock. While the kids are in Memphis, Tennessee, I graciously take them to Graceland. They see the ghost of Elvis in the clouds above his magnificent mansion and flee out the Gates of Graceland. Everyone makes a wild dash into Sun Studios. The startling supernatural encounter results in a new Sun Studio album by the kids: ~~~~~Escape from Graceland~~~~~  PS: I am still trying to figure out how to program the frickin pen tools for the used pen tablet I bought off eBay to make drawing easier. |

Yay! I Love Kids on the Slope!! I knew we had another contest for it last time, but I missed out on that. I'm glad there's another one, and it's for a reallly COOL PRIZE! I'd kill to have that LOL! I started two days ago~ Finally got it done! WHOO~!! ;( I should've posted it sooner!!
Used SAI for the characters: Sen, Kaoru, and Ritsuko! And Photoshop for the editing. Used brushes and only two photo's! I drew everything else! I was going for a Beach Theme because throughout the series, the beach scenery stood out most to me. It was beautiful and together with the Jazz music was great! I tried making the album cover old, and vintage like. ^^ BTW I love Shotanime's Review on "Kids on the Slope"! Super hilarious as always. And the little girl was cosplayed as Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service (Studio Ghibli!) Totally cute!!! :P   Proof and borrowed stuff: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide |

I wasn't sure if it was an Album cover as in "For a CD" or an album cover as in "For the top of a crunchyroll page" so I made both just in case! (O^O)
Its simple but pleas enjoy! :DD  And CD version.  Even though the top one took much longer, I actually like the one below a little more. |

 Here is my entry! Reference from episode one for the Art Blakey cover and "Kids on the Slope" was drawn according to the official cover. I know they aren't playing music, but it was this record that brought them to play a lot together. I wanted to go back to the reason they started playing jazz together... so yeah! Enjoy! |
