Jinta Yadomi and his group of childhood friends have become estranged after a tragic accident split them apart. Now in their high school years, a sudden surprise forces each of them to confront their guilt over what happened that day and come to terms with the ghosts of their past.

It also stirred up some feelings and emotions I had thought were settled. If you like sad tear jerkers, this is the show for you.

My interest was piqued all the way through the story. It's a little reminiscent of the 1983 movie 'The Big Chill' and to a lesser degree any live play of 'That Championship Season' where something significant has happened and old friends are brought together. Could be from watching so many movies over the years I actually got more out of watching the ef--a Tale of Melodies anime. My only wishes for that show would've been VAs whose voices weren't so high-pitched and more plot consistency between episodes 3-8.

I was travelling in 2 different Region last year and with my Ipod I was able to watch a particular anime in one region but not in the other region wihtout changing any setting and just by logging on with free wifi. Anyway AnoHana has a great story of friendship , I was crying buckets in the end.
