One thing is for sure with these past few episodes - Shimao needs to stop being a selfish prick and move on already. He now officially annoys me. I still think that the ending will be worth it, but I will classify this anime as a disappointment if he either A- takes over Hazuki's body for good or B- follows through with killing Rokka in Hazuki's body. Somehow I don't think either will happen though.

Yeah, I'm really hoping they avoid the depressing ending too.

I foresee a good ending.

Hazuki is determined and, in my opinion, has really proven that he is in love and not just passingly infatuated with Rokka.

Rokka has shown a willingness to move forward, and a grasp of her own emotions. She seems more hesitant only at the moments Shimao interferes directly (whether she has been aware of it or not).

The only thing holding up the whole show is, in far too many ways, Shimao. I am thinking of him as more of a plot device / antagonist by proxy than a real character at this point.

The only factor explaining his shift in personality is the floating around dead for three years thing. Understandable, but it just feels like there's nothing connecting the dots. It's not like the realistic and gradual way in which Hazuki and Rokka have been developing.

Or it could just be me. =^_^=

Mistake or surprise epilogue? Mistake I presume, Countdown shows it as ended.

Episode 11/Finale

Ah, this series is over. I got mixed feelings on the ending as it was predictable imo but nonetheless, an enjoyable ghost story indeed. I felt that the ending was not satisfying though as it lacked flavor. Why did it present a grandchild rather than short retelling of the memories that Rokka and Hazuki-kun?

Nonetheless, Hazuki-kun's return in this episode to his body (finally ) and his reunification with Rokka was touching despite its relative short scenes. It had emotions, it had feeling, and it had passion. Hazuki-kun is the defining character in this series imo as he takes on an isolated role while Shimao gets tons of screen time. Thus, those short moments were dynamic and expressed the touching pace of this series.

Sorrow, hug, kiss, and moving on is all part of human lives and I think Natsuyuki Rendezvous brought some defining realism in a naturalistic way. Ultimately, I think the series is satisfying but not a hit smash of the Summer Season. It had its good and bad, and this finale seems to be on imo, the middle of the two. Anyways, 7/10 for me in this series and thanks CR for presenting it for streaming.

The show dragged on a bit but the ending really blew me away. It completely impressed me because you never knew what direction it was going to take but it wrapped everything up so perfectly.

As Rokka said, all the people involved could have been miserable but the ending shows that Hazuki and Rokka gave it their all to work past it and that they succeeded.

I've been fairly happy with this show. My big complaint is that Shimao was a little too... convoluted. I think the writers just "abused" his character solely for drama. As a result, he never came across as sincere. Still, the ending was nicely done. It's a show worth watching, especially since it handles the issues of loss fairly well.

I'll also stick by my original comparison with the movie "Always". There are a lot of similarities.

Good show.

I guess I didn't know what to expect when I started watching. I liked the comic back and forth between Hazuki-kun and Shimao-kun, but I was afraid that it would really dominate the story. So I was a little relieved when the started the fairy tale dream theater. I was surprised by Rokka-chan. I got the feeling the first couple of episode that she was pretty emotionally fragile. I though she would freak out a little more when she found out Shimao was possessing Hazuki-kun's body. Over all I enjoyed the series, but it might be a while before I rewatch. I give it a 7.5/10.

AAhhh why they have to end it that way !!

I want to see their life together more before the end scenes of episode 11...I would have enjoyed this anime more if they did that , i feel they rushed it too much to end it since it drag a bit.

I mean I really wanted to cry and stuff but I didnt have time to get there aaahhhh!!!
