Nope, I used too...Till I dated a shy and awkward girl and realized how quite our relationship was with both of us being shy and awkward.

hahaha i used to know this girl who was the shyest of them all O:
i found her very cute ignoring the world and even if people were mean to her she was still being herself, its not the person's fault they r shy, but they can beat the shyness and overcome their fear if it is their fear unless they just dont like talking or people. o3o

LOL. Short and to the point. I approve of this message! Ne personally though, I don't mind f avperson is shy or really outgoing as long as they are respectful and a good person. I like variety.

I would like to date a shy girl.

Maybe after spending some time with me and get to know me they will open up somewhat and not be as shy as before...but still somewhat shy. I tend to do that with people.

400% better than the ones who gossip all day

I use to be like that. Then reality kicked in. You gotta speak up if you want something done.

I feel sorry for the ones that are painfully shy, they miss out on so much joy in life. I can relate, I was once (extreme shyness) that way. It was one of the most painful times of my life, but because of certain things that happened, and time, I'm not that way anymore. Sometimes shyness is borderline phobia or social disorder, but they are the best people to get to know, it's just sometimes you need a jackhammer to get them to open up. Actually, I think it may be partly a trust issue. A lot of shy people have very fragile personalities, and I think that their shyness is a way for them (subconsciously) to protect themselves.

Yeah you're right [:
They do miss out on a lot, i met many shy people and i had a guy friend who was extremely shy , i still know him and he's incredibly outgoing now so you can change if you want =] It can be a trust issue you are right like some animes i've seen i know some kawaii shy girls who have trusting-people issues haha.
Its good you aren't anymore x) ... i'd like to become a friend of the people who are shy, they can be the loudest in their mind.

In the words of Yuichi Aizawa towards the quiet Mai, "I don't know why, but whenever i can get her to say something i feel like i've won a freakin prize."
When I heard that I was able to instantly relate to how he felt. I find it fun and have a strong desire to get them to speak to me. I personally would rather the shy quiet female stranger in class talk to me than the social one. Well given that the shy one is somewhat attractive (stranger. don't get all "you're so superficial" on me) and that the social one isn't a friend. So basically I tend to like the shy quiet ones. NOT that i discriminate against any other girl.

I'm a shy girl who never really speaks unless spoken to and I do spend most of my time reading books. My voice is kinda soft too. I don't think I'm creepy though lol.

I believe that having shyness to a certain degree adds humbleness to a girl and innocence. I think it's attractive when there's the right amount. If there's too much shyness, they may appear awkward and distant, whereas, if there is not enough shyness, they may be seen as (hrmm what's the word?) maybe a little obnoxious?

That's what's great about living in this day and age. Back in the day (pre BBS & internet) shy people were totally isolated. Shy people now have an outlet to vent & express themselves......and make friends, albeit virtually....maybe that is good practice (work up to) for making friends in the real world.

Ironically, I still do hold back/limit myself. I can unintentionally come off as abrasive & crass...got to use those mental filters. I think I got it from hanging around guys too much. I was always quite the tomboy, and never really understood females. I guess that's why I only remember only having 3 female friends in my lifetime....and they were kind of tomboys themselves....

What are your opinions about them? Do they creep you? There are many of those who dont talk and spend their whole time reading books...like in the animes.
And then...they'll answer you back with a soft-spoken voice... o_o

Totally me.
