I'd admire that kind of courage, but I don't know how it would turn out. I'm sure some people would be pretty embarrassed.
Guys have this preconceived notion that they need to have the volition in everything until it's a "sure thing," then they slack.
It's pretty funny how that works, actually. XD If a girl asks a guy out, it's less common, but if the guy is nice, he'll accept.
Hell, my fiancee's sister even proposed to her boyfriend...and they're still engaged, so I guess that worked out well.
Now they just need to get married. Haha...at this rate we might have our wedding before they do!

I really find this subject funny,
The reason why is due to the fact that i am completely clueless when I'm being hit on.
I can work on cars but i don't think i'll understand the female mind.

I can be just as oblivious to the opposite sex sometimes, I've had that pointed out before..but lately I've been able to be more in tune with my vibes...to try and prevent that.
It's interesting how the social norm is usually for the guy to approach the woman...it is what people are most accustomed to seeing or hearing, but when a girl does it..seems quite unorthodox...but for me either way is commendable...if you have an interest in someone...just...take the steps..no matter the person who starts the movement.

Well, being an old-fashion type of girl... I don't really find it appropriate for the girl to ask the boy. I believe it should be the man's job to ask. And yes, because of this belief, I missed out...Maybe I was just born in the wrong time period!

I never asked a guy out, probably never will. Not that I think it's wrong, there are lots of girls who do so, no biggie.

I think it should depend on who's more outgoing, which could be either the guy or the girl - it's about personality, in my opinion, and not gender. Loud, "obnoxious" Courtney Love went up to presumably introverted Kurt Cobain. I don't presently see why it can't be that way for other people.

Both men and women often suffer from the same insecurities and fear of rejection that make it difficult to make the first move. Whichever sex you are, if you see someone you like, let them know it, they are probably sitting there just wishing you would.
That said, I think guys are often raised to subdue their feelings and emotions and so, they may more often be thick as a brick when it comes to the subtle signals. So yes, it would be lovely if more women would put it out there. I am still figuring out things like "Oh, that girl 20 years ago was trying to say she liked me... DARN IT!"

If women took that chance to ask a guy out than to play games and flirt most of the time...that would be awesome. why not just come forth and say it than playing hard to get. but i know some girls/guys like that kinda stuff.
