What if women went up to guys they liked rather than waiting to get asked out?

The way I see it is either way if you dont make it known you are interested they will never make a move. this goes for both sides not just one.

Girls suck at asking people out too I guess many people think about the rejection issue maybe they think it looks better the boy being rejected by a girl than the other way round. Personally I am not bothered who does it

1) Girls are just as afraid of rejection as boys
2) Our culture basically teaches girls that they should be passive when it comes to relationships. Look at the kind of media we consume growing up. Disney films tend to give the message that girls should wait until their 'prince' comes to them, rom-coms usually have the girl doing passive things to make a guy notice her so he'll make the first move, etc. It's hard to break out of ways we're conditioned to act.

Personally, I wouldn't have a problem asking someone out, but I'm also rarely attracted to people, so it's a nonissue for now.

Wow have we gone back in time to the 1900's? Cuz if so I want out. I'm not trying to be a complete jerk...but this is the most ridiculous thing I've read in a while.

I'm really shy so flirting...is not exactly my thing. I'll give subtle hints to the guy and if I can see that he might be interested in me, I'll ask him out. Otherwise, there no chance. Also, listen in on the gossip. It helps gather good information on who likes who.

LMAO
There are girls that do take the initiative, but you should man-up and just ask the bitch out. The worst that can happen is that she'll say no; if that is the case just move on.

Well, I asked my current boyfriend out on a date first, and then asked him to be my boyfriend twice (rejected the first time). It's only been half a year, but things are mostly fine and dandy.

My best friend also asked her boyfriend to marry her. He said yes, but later bought a ring and proposed as well.

The point being, it happens more frequently than you think. So to any girls who are worried about whether or not they should make the first move, if the boy really likes you, he will say yes anyways. It's not for everyone though, so no pressure I suppose.

In my nightmares. I'd be uninterested. I prefer the ''chase and conquer''.
