What if women went up to guys they liked rather than waiting to get asked out?
|
umm
girls like to have a guy who has the guts or the move to ask them out. the first few sec when a girl meets a guy it's when she determines if he is the type to date or just to be freinds so guys. first few second count. dont waste the second with small talk. be big and plan big. |

So much to do, SO little time! I'll give someone $100 if they can freeze time !

Ahh...You guys just need to realize that girls are just ppl .....just like you are, and are just as much nervous as you are.....what's there to be afraid of? Death? If she says no, brush it off...tons of other females out there....I know how guys are, how terrified they are to ask a girl out....so I got tired of waiting (I was taught it was "unladylike" to initiate a relationship)....and didn't give a crap if I was turned down by a guy I liked, (Next! lol)....and I wasn't. (long story short) I got who I wanted and kept him....for 24 years and counting. |

A girl asked me out 11 years ago. We've now been married 10 and have two kids and it would NOT have happened unless she pushed the envelope.
Realistically a lot of people here are introverts and require someone to be a little more extroverted in order to balance them out. It is part of the beautiful natural order of the universe we all seek equilibrium one way or another. |

I would like to see this more, and not because I suck at asking girls out. lol I just think it would be refreshing to see the girls being on the "aggressive" end of dating. lol

I've seen girls that are aggressive, but I've also seen guys who are turned off by that because they enjoy the chase. For those guys who have trouble asking girls out, I suggest you look into body language. You can almost always tell if a girl would say yes by just making eye contact and smiling. If she smiles back, go talk to her! If she smiles back and touches her hair, you better ask her out. (ps: eye contact longer than 5 secs between strangers is staring and considered creepy). Either way, guy or girl, good things happen to those whose work to make them happen. If you just sit back and wait for something good to come along, chances are you will be waiting for a long, long time.

teenage girls may not ask guys out much because of how they were raised "good girls don't" but usually when they get to college or leaves home that changes. but mostly they don't get the chance because guys usually ask first. a lot of guys prefer to do the asking. for women you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. sometimes you are seen as confident and independent and other times you are labeled aggressive and slutty if you take the lead.

People are different. So there are shy boys as well as shy girls.
Thinking that only the boys should ask out girls is kind of contradicting the flourishment of mankind |

Searching a demoness from hell or goddess from heaven...

That would save me an anxiety attack, a trip to the hospital, and a tough depression if I get rejected.
Ladies, it's a lot harder then it seems. |

Girl's should feel more comfortable asking men out.
To hell with gender roles. |

"I find that women who are interested in guys just kinda flirt and wait for the guy to make the move..."
This is completely a cultural thing in America. There are several other countries that really don't do this kinda thing. Turns out that the good old US of A seems to have a rather troubling amount of sex-related issues compared to most of the world, like England or Italy. It's apparently much harder too do the do in the US than pretty much anywhere else. Why? Many reasons, including this one. In summary, BLAH BERGH DERP HERP SHOODADADA *ahem* |

Are you okay with your current position?

I've asked guys out before. Trust me, it takes ever ounce of courage I had, but I did it.
I understand guys are the same way when it comes to liking a girl. Hell, I've given my OLDER brother dating advice, and asking-out advice. I'm just that good. |
