Best way to make friends is to talk to people. As people have stated find some common ground and socialize. Don't be scared, worst that happens is someone says something mean in which case you just leave them be.

First time seeing a moderator on forum (then again i only started being active on forums) and i gotta say it wasnt what i was expecting, in a good way ahaha. Most moderators i see on others are so strict and talk with perfect grammar lol
On topic, i've posted on a few forums threads and made a couple of nice friends that were pretty interesting and has the same interests as me. In my experiences here there are rarely any people here that starts fights so making friends shouldnt be too hard as everyone is nice. Just send a buddy request if you have any matching interests
