In most cases, if you request friendship with them, most people will grant it to you and you can talk from there. I think it is rather hard to make friends from the forum alone since a lot of people (myself included) float in and out of here maybe a couple times a week while some other people may be on here hardly at all. You just have to actually put effort into it.
