My mom absolutely loves Yu Yu Hakusho and InuYasha. I remember staying up until midnight as a kid and watching them with her on school nights, we watched whatever anime adult swim had on. I bought a few DVDs and she watched a bit, though i'm sad to say she does not watch much anymore.

luckily for me, both my sisters, brother and mom are all into anime and gaming, go to comic con together, talk about anime together, untill recently she hadn't actually watched any anime other then those from when we were kids that were shown in dub on kids channels like pokemon and such, but she's just finished death note and loved it, gogo otaku family

I can't convince my parents to watch anime... But I have done so with other family members... My younger sister loves InuYasha and Rurouni Kenshin... I turned a cousin of mine from an anime hater to an anime lover... My best friend and I both love anime and we together introduced another one of our friends to anime... I introduced him to anime and LOL he introduced me to hentai...

My moms actually really awesome when it comes to anime. Sometimes when my sister and I are watch a show , she'll come done to watch it with us (though she does ask a lot of questions ) I even got her to watch through gundam seed(and unicorn)and but the end of seed she's screaming at the blue cosmos leader(or as she calls him ass-face) to die. Currently were watching through toward the terra which she enjoys alot.
My Dad on the other had is a lot harder to get him intrested (he thinks alot of it isn't appropriate for us). When we got him to take us to the 2nd eva movie when it was showing, I was kept getting worried he'd say something when every there was a really gory bit

My parents watched Spirited Away when it first came out XD but besides that, they'll probably only enjoy an anime series if it was dubbed, and under 20 episodes :p

Although I did get my mom to watch poyopoyo

I could never get my parents to watch it.They probably would if it was dubbed, but I feel that if i tried to watch it with them, it would feel awkward and I don't think they'd enjoy it. I know my dad wouldn't enjoy it so I wouldn't even bother with him. My mom sometimes used to watch a little bit of Inuyasha a long time ago with me when it was on Adult Swim, but it never became more than a few episodes here and there. My oldest brother thinks anime is stupid, and my older brother (middle child) Seems like he would enjoy it, but never has the time.

So pretty much, I watch anime by myself, which I prefer it that way.

No, they won't watch anything that's in a language they don't understand, even if it's subbed. They view anime as childish, so dubbed ones won't work either.
