I love horror games like this. Unfortunately, after playing games for so long, you start learning game mechanics and patterns and all that. So as much as i love playing horror games, they just do scare me like they used to. Hell, i used to have to take breaks playing Silent Hill 1 cause it got to me soo much.

Haha I remember I played this once! I got lost in that damn forest and screamed like a bitch and turned away when I saw a flash of white on the screen. I didn't even see the full Slender man when I screamed and turned. Just a flash of white. The noise afterwards scared me even more, I threw off my headphones .

It is minimalist horror, meaning what your afraid of is what you don't know (not quite lovecraftian, no backstory).
It is pretty horrifying, in the same way that when you get up to piss in the middle of the night and hear a footstep that's not yours, but can't find anything wrong with the house. In short, it's what goes bump in the night.
As for storyline spoilers from videos, don't worry; there is none! I mean, a narrative can be thought of easily, but none is given.
I would easily recommend it for anyone who would enjoy a horror game without all the senseless violence and gore.

I've played it all the way through I'm just not very impressed?
I feel like it gets more hype than it deserves. It's a well made indie game, but from all of the playthroughs and responses I've seen I expected it to be a whole lot scarier than it was. /unpopular opinion OTL
