Got out of long relationship, relationships after that one never seemed to work, so I decided to retreat for awhile. Even though I do quite miss having a boyfriend I can feel close to :'C

This is a common contradiction. Why can't they be with you through that?

Because most females are a drain on money. Most men who are gentlemen but broke can't afford it.

I'm sure there are exceptions depending on the type of person, but a lot of times that's just how it is.

I take offense to your first statement. Men are just as bad when it comes to money so why should women be at fault. I take it you've had experience of being with a woman whose direction is to drain you. My debts aren't from spending, its from medical bills from my son, so again please don't refer to women being a drain on money unless you know their situations.

You take offense? Look, when you are a gentlemen, you typically do most of the spending when you are doing things together. That's how it works. If you aren't one, then that might not be the case. Like I said, there are exceptions.

You think being a gentleman is a title to excuse yourself from spending? Then why complain? However I fail to see what direction you feel this takes regarding any woman being single, since you have bought up money, please enlighten me on how being a gentleman is all about because I have yet to meet a man who is willing to spend money on the other person. Call it bad choices of choosing a man but I never met a man who is willing to go that far and call themselves a gentleman.

I'm not complaining. I'm backing up the statement someone made about not wanting a relationship until they get their ducks lined up.

If there's a person who won't spend money on his significant other, then he probably doesn't fit the definition of being a gentlemen. Which is fine because there aren't many of them any more. Which would explain your experience with men. I'm not a gentlemen myself, and that's why I concurred with the previous statement about not wanting a relationship.

Okay, and I'm the one that stated not wanting a relationship till my "ducks" are lined up. Wouldn't be far to the other person to deal with my mess and demons while waiting for me to care or love them back when I wouldn't be ready.

I'm as single as a slice of pizza on a revolving microwave plate.
