I'm 22 and I've been with the same guy for 6 years. Like consistent 6 years, no breaks or breaking up, just straight 6 years. His name is Cameron <3 We started dating in high school, I was a junior and he was a senior.
It was weird but before him, I was wanting to be with someone and not be lonely. I kept trying to look for someone, and had dumb crushes on every guy that talked to me, even if it was just a simple 'hi'. But I can tell no one was interested in me, so I just stopped looking and didn't get my hopes up.
A year later (i was a sophomore), I kept seeing this guy who I though was cute but just left it at that. Though, I did notifier we had a few mutual friends but I was still afraid to say anything.
The next year (junior year) I had him in my history class! I freaked out! But, I got the courage and sat next to him and said "I like your hair." He said thanks and we conversed about small things. After the class was over it was our lunch break and he offered to walk me to where I hang out. I kept freaking out inside and though I was in some shojo manga, lol.
Basically, every day he would walk me to wear I hang out until he eventually started staying there little by little.
We slowly started to like each other and it took us like 4 months to actually start going out! All of my friends were like "finally!" Lol.
Now it's been a little over 6 years! I'm 22 and he's 23. Our anniversary just passed, it was on December 3rd.
