If anything entertainment industry is going to die off within the next 10 years it will be basic cable, if not cable all together.

I know a lot of people who are either switching to Dish or the internet (places like Netflix and Hulu).

There is a chance of anime becoming less common because of the whole Fukushima thing in Japan (considering polar bears in Alaska are getting affected, I can't imagine people sticking around), but so long as there's an audience for it, anime isn't going to disappear. When the Big Three stop airing, that won't stop anyone from liking anime. In the past, well-known singers have died, and popular TV shows have ended, but people just find new things to like. As for the rise of the internet bringing down popularity, I've found more anime over the internet than on TV, so I'd say that the internet only helps anime's popularity

There would be a lot of people without jobs it that was the case (voice actors, animators, distributors, etc.). The corporations won't let it die!! *insert wicked laughter her?* lol

It's not dying out anytime soon.

Just look at video games; I'm sure there was a lot of controversy as to whether games would be successful.
