I've got my trusty 2001 Hyundai Sonata. Bought it for cheap and my daddy fixed it for me ^_^

I refuse to ask for rides so I bought a car but I wish I could live somewhere I could use a bike.

I guess us country folk have no choice but to get these toxic pieces of metal.

Although my insurance is super high. I paid for it in cash, I have no credit (perfect credit in my opinion), I am under 21, I am a first time owner, a female, go to college out of state, park in a parking lot overnight, first time insurance buyer, my parents have a different insurance, I drive too much, my car is too old....etc.

The insurance almost made me take my car back to the salesman. So many penalties for someone who has taken drivers' ed, never had an accident, and isn't even driving her car because she is away from home.

I really want to own a motorcycle some day.

New to insurance is hard the first time out. They also scale your insurance based on your credit score which I guess I'll never understand. If you do open a line of credit you can get that breakdown for free and in easy to read graphs and stuff on http://creditkarma.com And so you know, unfortunately, no credit history is nearly as bad if not worse than bad credit history from my own personal experience. Depending on bike you get (namely sport bikes), just about everyone will ream you on your initial quote. I dont know anything about cruisers etc, I've only ever ridden sport bikes but for progressive, the first year I had my name on my own insurance and 0 credit history I was being quoted 205 dollars a month on a 2006 Honda CBR RR. "High Performance/High Risk" vehicle they said...

Hated to but bought a 1997 Ford Explorer 4-wd XLT brand new when parts for the old 1983 Mazda RX-7 with 266K miles on it became very expensive. It was the first year for SOHC on a 6-cyl Ford SUV. Ford dealer wouldn't take my Mazda as trade-in so I sold it to a friend in KS for $50. Still have the SUV with 232K miles on it and will drive it until it drops. I almost bought its replacement, a 2004 Ford Explorer SUV with all the whistles and bells, last September. But after reading so much criticism from Ford owners about trucks and vans produced 2000- 2005 I told the dealer to forget about me on that 84K 4-wd creampuff. I think I can get 600K miles out of this truck before it self-destructs. Barring that Mazda this has been the most trouble-free vehicle I have ever owned.

Yes, a silver Volkswagen Jetta 2.5.

The greatest thing about my car is the sound system. In my group of friends, it is the memory-mobile. We always drive my car just to crank up the music.

My dad bought me a car as an incentive to get my license. It still isn't registered yet, because I never got my license

It's a 2002 Hyundai Elantra, a bit beat up on the outside (some dents in the doors) but it runs well. My dad only bought it cuz it was cheap -- $900 from a neighbor in town. I'm sure I'll appreciate it more when I can actually drive...

We own two. Both fully paid for: 2004 Subaru Legacy Turbo sedan, and a 2008 Honda Odyssey.

yeap! Own a car when i was 18, first twas a white Toyota vios then change to Red Mazda rx8 when i started working and now happy with my white Nissan 370z and it really has it's perks and debts financially, mentally and emotionally. Directly, it all depends on the one who owns and drives it. For me it is something to help you enjoy and aids your needs for assistant like going to work on a hot or rainy day and being responsible.
