I recently didn't have enough money to continue my membership to Crunchyroll and I believe it still took money from my CC. Now I think I have a negative amount inside my account

Will cancelling my membership right now take money from my CC account or has it already been paid right when the new subscription to Crunchyroll started?

And also, does it renew the subscription even IF you don't have enough money?

I need more info on this. Thank you

I assume you are using a debit card, and not a credit card. In such a case, CR has no information on your bank balance. Your bank either accepts the charge and overdrafts your account, or rejects it.

If you are in the United States, the laws were changed in mid-2010 so that your bank cannot simply accept a debit card charge and overdraft your account, but you the option to opt back in to the old system. Unfortunately, many banks pitched opting back in as a "feature", so you may have done it without realizing what you were actually doing. My previous bank pitched it as a form of overdraft protection. (When in reality, it meant that if I had only $20 in the account, and accidentally used my card to charge something for $21.08, instead of the bank declining the charge, the bank would accept it, and then charge me around $30 for that "service").

Crunchyroll will continue charging until you cancel your subscription or at least your renewal (whether you have the latter option varies). If you cancel your account, your premium membership ceases at that moment. Your subscription fees are paid in advance.

Use this link to check your membership status page. If you see a button that says "Cancel membership renewal", you can use that now. If instead it only states, "Cancel membership", you would probably want to PM Bjaker and see if he can stop your membership renewal for you.

If you are in the U.S., and your bank did overdraft your account due to a debit card charge, you should contact them and tell them you don't want them to do that. You have the legal right to refuse them that ability:
