Basically what is something of yours that has sentimental value or is precious/important to you and tell why with a short paragraph

i didnt find any posts like this so i apologize if it is a duplicate

For me whats imporant is my necklace or what we call a paht in my peoples language because my grandmother from overseas bought it for me at a very high price and she had it blessed by a head monk so that it would bring me good luck and protect me from evil and bad things. also it makes a nice accessory that goes with everything haha

mine looks like this but encased in silver with a silver rope necklace style and the inside was made of ivory. i dont even want to think of the price my grandmother paid

Mine is a plain gold ring that was buried with my great-grandfather for 20 years before his bones were dug back up and cremated to be put into an urn. The ring was given to me by my grandmother. It is pure gold, so it is sort of rough and uneven due to my grandma having always worn it (and she does a lot of manual labor), but that's the beauty of it, I guess. The metal is soft because it is pure, but I choose not to straighten it out. It was refitted after it was dug up, but my grandmother told me she was there when they opened her father's grave and the ring was still on the skeleton's hand, shining as though it was new.

My great-grandmother was also buried with such a ring, and it rightfully belonged to my grandmother after her mother passed away, but the relatives on that side of the family got hostile and wouldn't allow her to reclaim the ring even though it was mentioned in the will. My grandmother has since given up on it, but there is a similar ring that is still buried somewhere in Taiwan. It's been about 60 years.

I was given the ring about 2 years ago and I always wear it. It can fit on a lot of my fingers snugly, so I usually wear it on my left middle finger, right middle finger, or on my right ring finger (with a smaller ring in front of it to ensure it doesn't slip off). My grandma has actually given me many priceless old things, some of which are well over a century old. The ring is just the first thing that came to mind, though.

hmm something that's mine.. I would say my mom's engagement ring from my dad.

She was looking through old stuff in some boxes and found the old engagement ring. She was going to throw it away, but instead asked if I wanted it. The ring didn't fit me, so I kept it in my secret box *sshhhh*

But later on I tried on the ring again and it fit, sooooooooooo everyday I wear the ring. I like to wear it on my right ring finger. My mom says she regrets giving me the ring because she didn't think I'd wear it, ohhhhhhhh wellllllllllll XP

The ring is painted gold over silver, and the paint is coming off. There's also a purple gem in the middle of the ring, although I forgot what the gem is called.

Here's my Dollie wearing my ring c: v

Something of mine would have to be a panda hat that was given to me by my friend who moved away.

It was my friend's last day in my state, and I went to go say goodbye. We had been friends for several years, as far back as I can remember, actually, and I was breaking down. She started crying and hugging me and I was doing the same. She then told me that she had something to give me.

She went to her closet and pulled out this beanie hat that had the face of a panda, ears coming off the top, and a little ball on the back for a tail. She told me that it was her absolute favorite hat, and that she wanted me to have it. I didn't want to take it at first, seeing as I remember her wearing it whenever it was cold out, and her loving it. She put it on my head and said that I have to take it, and that she wouldn't take no for an answer, so I ended up taking it.

She hugged me, said goodbye, and left. We still keep in touch to this day, and that hat is my absolute favorite now, and I wear it whenever it gets cold out.

I have no such tokens. My parents threw them away, my teachers confiscated them, and my friends broke them. All of them are gone. That's probably for the best, I suppose.
