Ok everybody, its been a while since ive been on crunchyroll, almost a good two years actually, ive been here since 2007 actually and now im back, so first and foremost:

Hello !!!

Now, to my point:
Recently ive found my self running out of anime to watch, more or less because i have standards when it comes to what im watching and wont just watch any anime that comes out, for better or worse.

Essentially, i look for something, find a decent/good anime after hours/days of searching, watch every episode over the course of 2 or 3 days, and move on to the next one, and now ive gotten to the point where i need ideas

Now the title says violent, but its not quite that simple. First, if the most violent anime you've seen is "Death Note" or "Elfen Lied", please leave this discussion now, because im talking more in the "Hellsing Ultimate" department (go watch it if you haven't, its amazing)

Also, please name anime that have a point to them, or a good plot (and, this might be asking for to much, but a lil romance, ima sucker for that stuff) because i asked this question somewhere else and i ended up watching an anime about crazy ass chicks brutally killing each other for ...... well, no reason really. (it was kinda funny, not gonna lie.)

So, alas, ill end this with something a lot of people dont seem to do:

A list of violent anime ive already seen (Please read before posting, much appreciated) :

Deadman Wonderland
Gantz
Black Lagoon (not gory, still Violent, and amazing)
Violent Jack (love that name)
Devilman OVA
Ninja Scroll
GenoCyber (this was just....crazy gory)
The last episode of School Days (WTF !!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Fist of The North Star (waaatatatatatatatatatatatatatatatatatatatta !!!!!)
Berserk
Basilisk
Hellsing/Hellsing Ultimate (use this one as a standard when your thinking)
Dance in the Vampire Bund
Trinity Blood
Black Lion
Boah
Blood +
Higurashi
High School Of The Dead (Second Favorite Anime of All-Time)
Afro Samurai
Dead Leaves (ha !)
Neon Genesis (everything)
Corpse Princess
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
Mnemosyne
Baki the Grappler
Baccano
Mirai Nikki (for those of you havent seen this, dont watch with weak stomach, please)

Thats all i can name off the top of my head, im to the point where i have to start writing series down as i watch them because i only remember really good ones...

Well, there ya go, thank you in advance, and if your looking for some yourself, hope my above list helps you !!

Blood+ is pretty good. It's been a few years since I've watched it, but it still leaves an impression.

Is Monster? I've never seen the anime, but the manga seemed kind of gory.

Well most anime has violence to some degree, but if you seek "ultra violence" the you should omit half that list. Also, add MD Geist, probably would call that classic ultra violence. Wolf's Rain is also what I would call "ultra violent", Speed Grapher is up there too, Paranoia Agent. Dunno how you can overlook Akira, that was the first and still probably the best of the subgenre. Another is Ga-Rei-Zero. A film that I think might classify is "Sword of the Stranger", a good anime even if it might narrowly pass as "ultra violent".

I didn't put "Akira" on there, because its kinda of a unspoken rule that most anime fans have seen the movie, and a few of those ive already seen, which i apologize for, as i stated, its hard to remember everything off the top of my head when ive seen so many. And its not that i mean "ultra violent", simply more violent then average, which all of those are, and good plots and possibly romance, which a few of those are. As i said, use Hellsing Ultimate as a default, or even High School Of The Dead.

However, out of what you listed, ive always been interested in watching Wolfs Rain, however I never really understood it, can you give me a brief synopsis ?
