Part of it is that "love at first sight" sounds romantic...so people just like saying it. It is also not accepted for one to admit their infatuated by you.....it would be looked at as lust rather than love and almost no one will admit to lusting on some one because they might be pegged as perverted.

As in .. no "love on first sight", or "it was meant to be", or "I've found my soulmate!"." I'd say that "love at first sight," "it was meant to be," and "I've found my soulmate!" all sound rather instantaneous while "falling in love" seems to imply a rather slow process. Chemical explanations and scientific reasoning aside, "falling in love" is something that seems to happen over time when endless conditions written on the scrolls of the human mental emotional hellfire that is our minds are fulfilled. Basically, 2 plus 2 will undoubtedly equal 4 if given the time to solve the equation, that is. We're complexing the simple here, folks

I think we get emotionally confused when we feel too many things at one time so we call it "falling in love" but it's really just a mixture of different desires and compatibilities...but I've never been in love so what do I know?

If you go by the actual dictionary definitions there's really nothing to talk about, It's plain how the words 'love' 'infatuation' and 'lust' relate to each other. But everyone seems to have their own interpretations of these words.

Your in luck actually, most women are willing to love the beast because they think with enough work he will transform into prince charming.
