Geu Rim (Kim So Hyun) is a student at an arts high school who dreams of becoming a pop singer. At school She gets a new roommate, Irene (Sun Woong) who’s actually a boy. Irena’s persona is a pretty Female CF star and his actual name is Hyun Woo.

‘Little Son Ye Jin’ Kim So Hyun Casted For Tooniverse's 'My Boy' Lead Role



Actress Kim So Hyun, nicknamed 'Little Son Ye Jin,' will appear as the main character in Tooniverse's school romance drama 'My Boy.'

Kim So Hyun will play the role of odd, but lovely Geu Rim in 'My Boy,' premiering on the 16th. The drama will air every Thursday night for three weeks.

'My Boy' is the three-episode school romance drama of CF star Irene (Sun Woong), a boy who is prettier than a girl and disguised as one, and Geu Rim (Kim So Hyun), who dreams of becoming a singer. The two become roommates as Geu Rim is admitted into Korea's best arts high school. With the unique plot of a boy pretending to be a girl, 'My Boy' plans to capture audiences with a fun, high school romance of teenage emotions.

Kim So Hyun debuted in 2008 through drama 'Hometown Legends: Baby, Let's Go to Cheong Mountain' and received explosive popularity through 'The Moon that Embraces the Sun.' Irene will be played by idol group Touch's Sun Woong.

'My Boy' is Tooniverse's second drama production since its popular first production 'Alien Sam' six years ago, starring Jang Geun Suk, which recorded a high viewer rating of 5.79%.

Ma Boy serves up gender-bender school romance… with a twist



There’s another gender-bending youth romance on its way. The short mini-drama is called Ma Boy and the main character is played by Kim So-hyun, a child actress you probably recognize from playing villainous characters in Rooftop Prince (as young Jung Yumi) and The Moon That Embraces the Sun (young Kim Min-seo). She’s in her first leading role as Geu-rim, a student at an arts high school who dreams of becoming a pop singer.

At school Geu-rim gets a new roommate in Irene, who’s actually a boy.Irene is played by idol boy Sun-woong of the pop group Touch, and her persona is a pretty (female) CF star. His actual name is Hyun-woo.

In the poster above, the tagline for Hyun-woo reads: “This guy has a special secret.” YOU DON’T SAY. Then at right, Irene sports a matching tagline, “This…girl also has a special secret.” O RLY?

Ma Boy is only going to have three episodes. It airs on a cable channel, Tooniverse, and premieres on August 16.

CHI CHI releases OST song “Pink Lens” for ‘Ma Boy’



Girl group CHI CHI has released “Pink Lens” for Tooniverse‘s school romance drama ‘Ma Boy‘s OST!

Composed by Jung Tae Woo and written by Kwon Ji Hee, the song perfectly fits the romantic theme of the drama geared towards the younger age group with CHI CHI’s beautiful and refreshing vocals.

‘Ma Boy’ is a 3-episode drama about CF star Irene (Sun Woong), a boy who is prettier than a girl and is disguised as one, and Greem (Kim So Hyun), who dreams of becoming a singer and enters one of Korea’s top arts high school. The cute love story unfolds when the two end up becoming roommates.

Aside from Sun Woong and Kim So Hyun, other cast members include Kim Ha Yeon and Minhoo from upcoming boy group ‘EXCITE‘.

Kim So-hyeon-I was seen on the site of cable TV Tooniverse "Ma Boy". She is wearing a Daehan Art School uniform and is standing with Min-hoo.

Min-hoo is holding up an umbrella to keep the sun off her and the umbrella seems like a parasol compared to the size of her head. She makes everything around her look bigger than they are.

In addition Kim has a bodyline not quite like that of a middle school student.

Meanwhile, Kim So-hyeon-I starred in the movie "I Am a King" and is active throughout the business.
