My only problem so far is the screen will randomly go black and I can't do anything to the point where I have to reset my PS3, but that's the only problem I've found so far! Besides that it's great!

Awesome Now I can watch my Favorite animes in Full HD on my 42" screen :D

Except that I couldn't find a way to exit the application, I felt like I was in Sword Art Online xD

When I tried to quit by the PS menu, it froze my console

Just got back a PS3 this month, I may just sign up yearly since I finally have a device to get my rollz on the tv. Good work on all these apps, they're great across all platforms.

I have some further remarks having gotten a few episodes to work now.

About 95% of the time, trying to play a show does nothing but reload the same screen for me. If I'm a little persistent, I can get to the video player, but then the video player doesn't play anything. It will have the correct title up at the top, the clock says --:-- / 12:34 or something like that, i.e. nothing plays. While going through this, I managed to get a message that says something like, "Unable to retrieve data," so I get the impression that this issue is caused by a network communications error. My guess is that Crunchyroll's servers are too busy or maybe just not fully operational yet. I don't know. Just a guess.

The next problem I have is video (just video, not audio) stuttering. Sometimes the video track just quits for a few seconds (about 5 or so), and the audio keeps going uninterrupted. No idea what could be causing this. It doesn't even seem to be tied to scene cuts or high bitrate scenes, but I could be wrong. My guess is it's probably due to the video buffer emptying and network jitter. If so, might be the same problem as the previously mentioned network comm issue. (Oh, BTW, I have a 65Mbps connection downstream, if that's relevant.)

Finally, the third problem. If you view videos for some period of time, eventually the video playback stutters. Not just like the previous problem I mentioned; the A/V sync gets totally out of whack, and it stays that way for the remaining duration of the video. It really becomes unwatchable at this point. This really looks to me to be a memory leak.

Now, the good point. For all of you complaining about the SD resolution, you need to put those complaints to rest. SD only refers to--usually--a vertical resolution of 480 lines (of pixels). There are numerous other factors concerning picture quality. Now on my 1080p television, I have to say I was VERY impressed. The only artifacts I notice are the expected "banding" in the gradients of the picture, as well as, mild blocking in high motion scenes. That said, I am very, very impressed with these SD streams! Like many of you, I had expected much worse, but I haven't noticed any sort of noise at all in the videos I watched. Either Crunchyroll or Sony (whoever made the video decoder and post-processing) deserves much credit. Yes, the move to higher resolutions will fix the problems I mentioned, but I do not at all consider it mandatory for an excellent viewing experience!

With that said, Crunchyroll, you guys still have your work cut out for you. I still kinda wonder whether it was a good move for you to release this thing with so many bugs, but I guess you have a loyal customer base, and putting the PS3 app out for mass consumption might help you iron out the wrinkles faster. In any case, as a customer, I very much appreciate you bringing your service to this platform. It will--in a short while, hopefully--become my platform of choice for viewing. Thanks!

So I decided to watch netflix on the PS3. It is also grainy and in low definition. There might be an issue with the PS3 and the app in general. The roku has much better picture and streaming.

The crunchyroll subs are barely within the tv "safe zone" is my only complaint. On older tvs (HD or otherwise) the subs may be partially or fully cut off. On computer this is not a problem as you can "Adjust Desktop Size" through your video cards control panel. You can't however on PS3.
