I downloaded it and have to say that I'm disappointed as to how each app from Crunchyroll is different from the other. I have an iPhone, iPad and PS3 and I find it bothersome to not find the same interface on each, or at least the same type of menu, organisation and queue. I would be thrilled if you guys would include the queue on iPhone and iPad app and add the summer, spring, etc. organisation on PS3 app.

Other than that, thank you so much for giving me the ability to watch old and new anime in HD.

It's GREAT that you guys have made a Crunchyroll app for Ps3...! However, there a lot of glitches... I assume that you know about these. There not to a big deal, seems as if you just need a bit more server space? It often stops and restarts, or the video stops, however the sound keeps going. Then the video either just starts back up! Although not where it left off, but where ever the sound happens to be. Or, it kind of fast forwards very rapidly to catch up to the sound. Hope this is a help, however I know you don’t need me to tell Crunchyroll tech’s how to do their job. Just trying to help you narrow down the problems…

the new update made the whole screen go blank when i clicked an episode.

I start seeing more glitches as the ap is on longer. I see smaller episodes okay but if I watch back to back 24 minute episodes they start to lose the sync almost immediately. If I dare fast forward it just speeds up the process of an outright crash. I always log in signed in so it's not an ad issue. Seems like the system doesn't know how to handle stored ram. That's been a problem with the browser in the PS3 for a very long time. It doesn't dump old ram at all and it seems that when you get to more episodes you just run out of ram and it crashes the system with it.

pretty please with an international app, it's somewhat of a pain to watch the shows from the ps3 browser. arigatou gozaimasu!

downloaded but is kinda lagging every 5 mins or so... i have A 15MEG connection. I can see it on my pc at hi res without any prob... but on ps3 is lagging... is it a BUG?

I downloaded the 1.01 update. How to put this...

It's like they needed to take 3 steps forward, but they took one step forward and then two steps to the side.

The video no longer does laggy stuttering. That's great. Also, the player never crashed my PS3, it seemed responsive, and none of the streams died on me. That's the one step forward.

However, now I get an issue where the video will play at rocket speed for like 1 second, and then I get a still image for about 5 or 7 seconds while the audio plays in real-time and eventually catches up. This happens on a regular basis. Sometimes the subtitles don't change during this so I'm missing dialog. Rewinding and fast forwarding is still borked and feels really random sometimes. I'll see the time markers progressing but then the video sometimes won't actually goto that spot. It's like the system decided that I was just joking around when I said I wanted to fast forward. That's the two steps to the side. It feels like they fixed one problem only to introduce another problem that's slightly better than the previous one.

Using the web browser on the PS3 is still the smoothest way of watching CR content on the PS3. This method is still less than perfect as every 3 to 5 minutes something happens with reference frames and part of the video for one camera angle will be a complete mess that can only be described to someone who knows what a reference frame is, but at least it only lasts until the camera angle changes, it never seems to happen for action heavy scenes, the playback continues in real time (unlike the 1.0 of the App) and the subtitles are displayed in real time, unlike the 1.01 app.

i love the fact that its on ps3 now and i could watch my favorites on the big screen !!! looking forward for the hd pic.

I was really excited to see that there was a patch, but I don't really notice any difference. The video continues to stop while the audio continues, so I usually miss a line of dialogue. It gets worse and worse as the episode goes along. If I actually get through an episode and let it load up the next one, it almost immediately does this.
