they have white out versions of echie anime .. ive seen the none white versions of a few but here we get the censored white out versions

I was having the exact same problem. Make sure the e-mail address your PS3 is signed on under and the e-mail address you used for Crunchyroll are the same. Once I signed onto my PS3 with the same email address I used for Cruncyroll, then went in and activated my system I was able to get into Crunchyroll. Hopefully this helps.

I have never posted to a form before so sorry if my educate is off or if you were already able to solve the problem.

I believe this should resolve the issue.



Followed instructions. Still have the same error. Also tried deleting crunchy roll and re-downloading. If I use triangle to access the menu for the crunchyroll app, it says under information that the version is 1.00. I believe there is a 1.01 patch that is supposed to be applied when you launch the app however since the app doesn't really "launch" the update doesn't happen. Could this be part of the problem?

Your problem is your account may be linked to too many PS3's already. You'll need to go to the PSN site, log onto your account, go to device management, and deactivate all ps3's then follow the steps above again.


This did not work either (I only had one ps3 on my account and you can't deactivate a ps3 from the site anyway). I was able to get it to work finally though. For anyone else having this problem try creating a second user on your ps3, create a second PSN account (Sony forces you to do this as you can't sign into the same account on more than one user), launch the crunchyroll app under this new PSN account and follow the activation steps. It did not give me the strange error with the fresh account. After doing this I was able to switch back to my original user/account and use the crunchyroll app just fine.

So far the patch has worked wonderfully for me. I haven't noticed any freezing, skipping, de-synchronization, or anything of the sort. I noticed a bit of a lag between selecting a show with the 'x' button and the show actually playing. Nothing big, about 10 seconds, but it would be nice if that were cleaned up a bit.

My specs are as such:

Slim PS3 120gig
Ethernet cable internet at 2Mbps provided by WindStream

Awesome app overall and one of my most used!

Edit: forgot the specs thing was on the support thread. Gonna leave 'em here anyway in case anyone wants to know.

Just to say anyone having issues should make a new PSN account and set it to an american address when registering. The app is only available for US users (uk here).

You can download it on you new 'american' PSN then use it as normal by logging onto your original account with no issues

(sorry if this has been said I didn't want to read through 84 pages to check)

Is it just me or is anyone else having issues with the Simulcasted show's on the PS3 app.. Yesterday I used it pretty much all day didn't have a problem at all, but now, every time I go to the next episode or load a new show I have lag problems while the show starts and or when I switch to the next episode it freeze and crash or force restart the system.... I noticed if I hit the "o" button to back out to the main menu for a few times it works out, but after that one fix it still has the same problem on a new episode.. Seriously, CR app for the PS3 been out for a little while and still haven problems like this. No other apps (Netflix, CinemaNow, HuluPlus, etc.) has this kind of problem... So whats the deal?

I have encountered a lot of lag and the whole system freezing up. The more recent Youtube app is craptastic. Hulu Plus is awful too. Here is a phone number that is useful for reporting online issues:1-800-345-7669. They are friendly folks and I think the more of us that call and tell them the better the chance that something will be done.
