They did the same thing with their Apple app and their Android app ~ it started out subscribers only. I haven't seen any announcement, but it would indeed be nice if they are able to open it up to free members by Christmas. A lot of people are reporting that it works OK for them, but there are still some who say they have problems. They are not likely to look at adding free streams until after the subscriber version is stable, because the streaming ad servers add their own problems, and software programmers normally prefer to get the existing problems fixed first before they start adding new problems.

My PS3 started doing the same thing this week. For awhile I've been watching Crunchyroll on my iPhone or PC, but when I tried watching using my PS3 this week, the problems were there.... I didn't have this problem a month ago.... Weird...
